It turned out that Miss Chen, a resident of Building 20 in the Donghu Linyu Community, realized after arriving at her office yesterday morning that she had forgotten her phone, assuming it was left at home. However, when she returned home later that evening, she discovered that she had lost her phone somewhere along the way — it was a Samsung phone she had just bought not long ago. She dialed her own number, and although the phone was on, no one answered. Normally, if it had been stolen, the phone would likely have been turned off by now. Thus, Miss Chen waited with a glimmer of hope for a miracle...
Unbeknownst to her, on the other end of the line, Mr. Zhai, a resident of Room 801, Building 9 in the Donghu Linyu Community, was frantically trying to locate the owner. His father had found the phone within the neighborhood but, unfamiliar with modern smartphones, didn't know how to contact the people stored in the phone. Mr. Zhai checked the phone upon returning home and found that it was still powered on, only set to silent mode, which caused several missed calls. He presumed the owner must be extremely anxious by now. Without hesitation, Mr. Zhai immediately called back, providing his address and contact information through the QQ group [http://zhaoqq.cn], inviting Miss Chen to retrieve her phone from his place. As a result, the phone safely returned to Miss Chen without any issues.
Regarding the recovery of her phone, Miss Chen expressed deep emotion: "I actually didn't hold much hope for recovering my phone, but unexpectedly, there are still many good people in this world who return lost items. I am truly very grateful to Mr. Zhai." However, Mr. Zhai responded humbly: "Of course, if you find someone else's belongings, you should return them.
