Hou Mou, aged 30, is one of the suspects in a homicide case that occurred near a toy factory in Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, on June 8, 2005. After the case was solved, all other suspects were arrested, but Hou Mou managed to escape.
At the Duanzhou District Public Security Bureau, Director Zhuo Li Chen personally received Hou Mou Hua, who brought his nephew to surrender. Hou Mou Hua said: "After my nephew committed the crime, he has been hiding outside, and we have been worrying about him every day. We are also very concerned." Hou Mou also revealed his feelings after surrendering: On the run, seeing the police made him panic; hearing the siren often woke him up from sleep. For more than six years, he could not return home or take care of his elderly relatives. Now, a heavy burden in his heart has finally been lifted.
It is understood that since May this year, the Ministry of Public Security has uniformly organized a nationwide online manhunt special supervision "Clear Net Action", and the Duanzhou District Public Security Bureau quickly formed a leadership group.
After understanding the detailed situation of Hou Mou's case, Zhuo Li Chen believed that the opportunity of the "Clear Net Action" could be used to encourage Hou Mou to surrender.
On the basis of several visits by the police officers, Zhuo Li Chen personally visited Hou Mou's family to conduct educational work. Hou Mou's family was moved by Zhuo Li Chen's sincerity and promised to persuade Hou Mou to return home and surrender as soon as possible.
On November 19, suspect Hou Mou finally surrendered to the Duanzhou District Public Security Bureau accompanied by his uncle from a local area.
