Yesterday, Hangzhou Talent Market and Hangzhou Enterprise Senior Management Talent Evaluation Center held the "Century Elite 2012 Spring Hangzhou High-Level Talent Job Fair" at Xingdu Hotel. This was the first large-scale high-level talent job fair in Hangzhou since the beginning of the year. Nearly a hundred well-known enterprises from Hangzhou and surrounding areas registered to participate, offering over 2,500 high-level positions.

The minimum annual salary threshold for the positions offered at this job fair was "80,000 yuan," among which a large group company recruited a financial vice president through "Hangzhou Headhunter," offering an annual salary of 1 million yuan.

A listed company is offering a million-yuan annual salary to recruit a financial vice president.

According to Feng Huiqing, director of the High-Level Talent Evaluation Department of the Hangzhou Talent Market, "On behalf of a large listed group company in Hangzhou, the highest offer at today's job fair is up to 1 million yuan for the position of financial vice president."

Of course, the requirements for this position are very high: "Must have work experience in a Fortune 500 company, over 15 years of financial work experience in a large enterprise, and a listed company with a transaction volume of 5 billion yuan."

"It's not easy to get this position," Director Feng said: "In the morning, although some people applied for this position, no suitable talents have been found yet."

This is determined by the circulation channels of high-end talents; the probability of senior managers appearing at talent exchanges is relatively low. Director Feng said: "We may need to rely on other channels and utilize personal network resources."

Lang Yueshi, General Manager of Hangzhou Hunter Human Resources Company, said: "From my past clients, the annual salary of a financial director is generally between 800,000 yuan and 1 million yuan, with a BMW car provided. The annual salary of a financial vice president at 1 million yuan represents the mid-to-high level of compensation for executives, but it's not the highest."

It can be seen that most companies are willing to "spend big money" for high-end talents.

Marketing directors and brand planning directors are relatively scarce.

Lang Yueshi believes: "After the Spring Festival this year, from the clients I've interacted with, the characteristics of talent demand are very obvious. One characteristic is industry-specific, where there is a particularly high demand for high-end talents in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, including food, alcohol, and commercial supermarkets. These industries are all related to people's livelihoods, showing a particularly high demand and desire for talents. Another feature is from the perspective of job demand, there is a particularly high demand for marketing directors and brand planning directors."

"In the current situation of intense competition, enterprises have made significant strategic changes from focusing solely on making money. Enterprises realize they need long-term competitiveness and brand added value, so some companies place stronger emphasis on branding during their transformation."

Additionally, statistics show that the top six positions in demand are senior management, real estate construction, marketing and sales, factory production, finance, and computers. Among them, senior management positions account for about 30% of the total demand.

Companies from within and outside Zhejiang Province are competing to recruit talents in Hangzhou.

At the recruitment site, reporters found that not only local Hangzhou companies participated, but representatives were also sent by companies from Ningbo, Yiwu, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and other places.

Mr. Gao, the Human Resources and Administrative Director of Yiwu Shentong Express Co., Ltd., said: "With the rapid development of e-commerce, the express delivery industry is developing at an unprecedented pace, creating a huge demand for talents. Hangzhou offers a wide range of talents, a large number of opportunities, and we hope to find better talents here."

Ms. Xue from Jiangsu Huiyin Electrical Chain Co., Ltd., values Hangzhou's superior geographical location.

During interviews, reporters discovered that high housing prices remain the biggest obstacle to Hangzhou attracting talents. "This has led some high-end talents considering working in Hangzhou to demand salaries two to three times higher than what they earned in their previous locations," said one industry insider.
