Karst is a typical natural landscape, where forest ecosystems encompass rivers, peaks, valleys, waterfalls, hot springs, caves, rare animals, and more. The region maintains a good ecological system dominated by secondary forests in the mountains, with high vegetation coverage and species richness. There are numerous waterfalls and streams in the mountainous areas; the Beijiang, Wengjiang, and Lianjiang rivers intersect within the Anglo-German territory, creating beautiful cross-strait scenery and pleasant landscapes. The physiographic landscape of the Anglo-German basin is surrounded by mountains that tilt towards the south, with most of the land being mountainous. Mountains above 1,000 meters are mainly concentrated in the northern part of the region. Possessing mountains, waterfalls, canyons, and rocks, it offers enjoyable experiences for visitors. The physiographic landscape supports mountain tourism, featuring tourist valleys, Du Feng, peak clusters, canyon sections, rock holes, and caves among its basic types. Representative resources include the Shimentai Nature Reserve (including the Grand Canyon prairie), snow-capped mountain peaks, Paradise Hill, England Xifeng forest corridor (including the Guilin wing), and Po Crystal Palace.
The Shimentai Nature Reserve has a total area of 82,260 hectares and is the largest contiguous forest ecosystem National Nature Reserve in Guangdong Province. The main protection focus of the reserve is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests and rare flora and fauna. Dominant vegetation includes natural evergreen broadleaf forests, large areas of native forest in Guangdong Province, abundant plant species, and a treasure trove of rare plants covering a vast area of natural forest. The protected area houses 2,242 kinds of higher plants, including 749 medicinal plants, 220 ornamental plants, and 101 wild fruits. Cyathea, a second-class state-protected plant, is widely distributed in the region, reaching heights of over 9 meters. Additionally, there are 301 vertebrate animal species, 208 bird species, and identified insects numbering 456 species and varieties of butterflies. Among these, 68 kinds of rare and endangered wild animals and plants are under special state protection, such as pythons, leopards, tragopan pheasants, silver pheasants (the provincial bird of Guangdong), cycad ferns, Bole tree pines, Guangdong-Fujian cypress, and others. The Shimentai Nature Reserve, with its rich flora and fauna resources, has become an important base for domestic and international scientific research.
Shimentai is located upstream in Guangdong Province. Streams gurgle and form endless waterfalls, flowing through heavily forested areas, creating a cool world ideal for boating and camping. The Guangdong prairie adjacent to the Grand Canyon offers a pleasant natural environment. Xifeng Lin, located more than 60 kilometers southwest of the Anglo-German urban area, spans three towns along the Mingjing rock corridor, densely distributing thousands of limestone peaks, with streams winding around them. Interspersed among the peaks are Maolin, streams, houses, sky, clouds, wilderness, cattle, and sheep, resembling colorful pictures at each bend and fold, offering different views.
The English West Corridor stretches over 20 kilometers. According to experts' research, it formed 200 million years ago, representing a peak forest and peak cluster landform. The area is linear, hence called a corridor. Over 1,000 odd peaks line up in a row, presenting numerous cultural landscapes. It is the longest and most intensive peak veranda in Guangdong, known as two peaks and one Qianjun peak. Peaks resemble giants or lions. The unique scenery of the English Xifeng Lin attracts photography enthusiasts and tourists who linger and forget to return.
The Po Crystal Palace Scenic Area, a Guangdong provincial-level scenic spot, is located 7.2 kilometers southwest of Yingde City, at Swallow Rock Mountain, covering an area of 3.8 square kilometers. The treasure includes the Crystal Palace cave, blue sky scenic lake, blue sky hole, and Lion Rock. The Bao Crystal Palace has a cave area of 16,000 square meters, ranking as the largest cave in Guangdong. Inside the cave, over one hundred formations form realistic and lifelike images. The Po Crystal Palace cave not only boasts exotic natural landscapes but also holds high archaeological value. In 1996, provincial archaeologists discovered a Paleolithic river gravel layer inside the cave, dating back 100,000 years.
The Blue Sky Hole, 1.2 kilometers from the cave, contains profound Taoist culture and is now a provincial cultural relic protection unit, preserving more than 120 cliff inscriptions. The Babel rock in the corner stone of the Anglo-German urban area, located three kilometers southwest of the first mountain, is a large limestone cave. Inside the cave, covering a total area of 6,600 square meters, ten levels lead into rooms, increasing in size and divided into four halls connected by a Stone Forest corridor. Each hall features distinct characteristics, including stone bells, stalagmites, and varying shapes. Especially in one hall, open and clear, boulders stand like fingers, with two holes on the roof allowing sunlight to filter through hanging vines, creating a mysterious veil between the leaves, clouds, and sunshine tumbling into the hall's interior. The cave preserves Northern Song Dynasty stone writings, smooth and clear, making Babel rock a precious historical and cultural site.
The famous Southern Song Dynasty writer Hong wrote about the majestic and magical landscape and the Seven Wonders shape of the cave, leaving many immortal poems due to the beauty of Zhenyang Gap.
Water scenery in the Anglo-German water network is relatively dense, with rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds all over the Beijiang and Weng River, even at the intersection of Sanjiang. Beautiful meandering Huaxi becomes a sightseeing corridor linking various tourist spots. Water scenery class resources include tourism and recreational rivers, underground rivers, tourism and recreation lakes, waterfalls, geothermal hot springs, and other types. Representative resources include Feilaixia rafting, drifting cauliflower valley, Xianqiao underground river, Tiger Valley underground river rafting, looking port, hot springs, white sand, hot springs, hot water lake, waterside hot springs.
Bixi Falls, the starting point of Feilaixia rafting, features a scenic waterfall of three thousand feet, ensuring a jolly insurance. Along the Avon Indian Month, seven wonders showcase the beauty of nature. The Xianqiao underground river crossing is located in the northwest Stone Town of Anglo-German, 18 km away from the city. On October 1, 1997, tourists began visiting. The historic Xianqiao underground river planning area covers 5.84 million square meters, with two mountain ranges, exotic mountains resembling Pipa pianos, two underground rivers entering the intermediate period of Minghe, spanning several kilometers from west to east. The river is calm, and a boat tour takes about two hours, showcasing a very mysterious natural wonder.
Centuries-old ancient banyan trees burst out among the rocks and longan tree groups, with a vegetation coverage rate of 85% and surface coverage of 10%, maintaining an ecological environment. Xianqiao showcases cultural landscapes such as Stone Age sites, Ancestral Halls, village scenery, surrounding basin Kuwata, cave geomorphology, tea gardens, and a pleasant climate.
Tiger Valley, located in the yellow town of English West, spans a total length of 3.8 kilometers, with a gap of 96 meters, 1 meter wide, and an 80-meter-long rapids slide, reaching a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. Through the British Xifeng forest corridor over 800 meters, the scenic area is surrounded by fields, villages, mountains, and blue skies, shining together.
Formations of the river are located in the lime Dipu Town, 30 km away from the Anglo-German landscape, featuring a cave underground river. Cave landscapes mix, with rock waterfalls resembling lotus flowers in full bloom, captivating visitors more than Xianqiao underground river, offering another taste.
The Baltic River is located in the Anglo-German city's northwest Baltic town, 75 km away from the Anglo-German urban area, with an average elevation of 700 meters. The Baltic River bypasses from the Baltic town dike next to the river green, slightly cool, crossing the mountains to the folder, known as the Baltic River Canyon. The Baltic River spans 15 to 30 meters wide, stretching eight kilometers, with rich original vegetation on both sides, cliff-like walls, and numerous water sources. The river winds around, with clouds looming and vision occasionally obscured by fog. Sometimes birds jump into view, and sometimes there seems to be no way out until a dramatic turn appears.
The most special feature is a waterfall, approximately 130 meters high, astonishing: Hope Port, located 1 km northeast of the S347 line north in Hope Town. The spa naturally flows 175 cubic meters per day, with a spring temperature of 63°C. Single-hole wells recoverable daily inflow reaches 2200 cubic meters, with a water vision exceeding 5000 cubic meters per day. The springs occur in limestone, with water quality analyzed by Zhongshan Medical University and the Institute of Geological Experiment Center, forming a medical hot mineral spring with a variety of chemical elements, including radon and sulfides. The PH value of F1-F3 is alkaline hot water, beneficial for human skin protection and beauty.
Currently, the source development utilizes the building of the old hot springs of the Lee house, looking port women’s football base Spa Villa, and the Anglo-German cave spa. Baisha Hot Springs, located in Baisha Town England village committee, was established in the early 1990s by Taiwanese investors setting up an oasis of Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., conducting this hot spring breeding, yielding good economic benefits. Currently, the company plans to incorporate spa tourism into their development strategy.
Hot Springs waterside, located in the waterside town south of the hot water, is only six kilometers from the Weizhen of the village committee and 65 km away from the city. The waterside Hot Springs have a long history, with water spraying from the local creek side. Clear water quality has been tested by the South China Agricultural University and Qingyuan City epidemic prevention department, with water temperatures ranging from 42°C to 55°C, abundant water gushing volume, and sulfur, calcium, copper, zinc, potassium, sodium, and other mineral elements beneficial for antibacterial disinfection effects on human skin. Combining hot springs with tea, flowers, and other drugs forms characteristic spa care. The project site features a relatively closed environment, clear waters, strong landscaping features, excellent combination conditions, and development prospects, with distinctive vacation and leisure themes and characteristics.
Hot water lake Spa at Wang Stone Town, a new group located in Xianqiao underground Hexi three kilometers north of the village, features natural hot springs flowing out of the ground at a rate of 2000 m/day and night, with spring temperatures ranging from 48°C to 60°C. Water quality analysis shows micro-light hydrogen sulfide tastes, indicating various health care treatment functions. The place is nearly surrounded by a small valley basin, with mountains in the basin and a river slowly flowing through the center, irrigating rice fields and nurturing mountain grass, creating beautiful scenery, elegant environments, and rich rustic and pastoral poetry rhythms. It is reported that the village has not suffered from skin diseases, while outsiders suffering from skin diseases wash a few times and see improvement. It is puzzling that such high-temperature springs surround lush woods. Hot water Lake Hot Springs is currently under development and will become the Fairy Lake hot spring resort.
Blue Sky Lake, after the uplift of the Beijiang water level in Crystal Palace, Po cave where swallows rock, at the foot of running water impoundment made lake, covers an area of 1380 acres. A U-shaped bottom of the lake, with an average depth of 3 m, features tortuous coastlines suitable for carrying water leisure and entertainment activities.
Wen Po Shan, Tianhu (the protolith back), located in the Huanghua town Wen Po mountain 1178 meters above sea level, is the peak of English Xifeng forest corridor known as the Provisional groups world. The foot of the mountain features farmhouses, farmland, Ying Shi Feng Lin, road running water, trees, Castle Peak panoramic view. Mountains, lush vegetation, clouds, and misty water gurgle. The mountains have a lake, quiet and clean air, reflecting picturesque scenes.
Kam Lake Reservoir, 52 km away from the Anglo-German urban area, features an average reservoir area elevation of 690 meters, with a long and narrow canyon terrain. The canyon river spans about 600 meters, with a riverbed width of 20 to 60 meters, V-shaped or U-shaped, and steep slopes. The Jintan dam is 123.3 meters high, with a total capacity of 249 million cubic meters and an installed capacity of 27,000 kilowatts, rare in Guangdong Province. The reservoir area features a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, vegetation, and plant species. In addition to natural vegetation, forests, timber, farmland, and artificial vegetation, the library district Diego peaks, majestic mountains, and green varied Qifeng reflections harmonize with green water accommodating breezes.
The empty reservoir in the big town features a subtropical monsoon climate, abundant rainfall, rich vegetation, water purification, and clean air, with lake reflections of the mountains. Downstream of the dam is a steep canyon, with both sides rising up to 300 meters. Building the power station drains the edge of the Peak, spanning up to 2 km, with odd layers of green mountain peaks, offering a panoramic view.
Long Lake, located in the southeast of Anglo-German, is 12 km from the urban core of the Anglo-German National Forest Park. Long Lake Power Plant is famous in the tourism market for its natural environment and natural freshwater fishes. Long Lake lacks formal tourism operators, with local farmers renting cruise ships for tourists boating on the lake and catering businesses.
The Yellow Holes Reservoir is located in the flat peak of the village committee in northern Yingde City Sand Town, 8 km from Sand Town, 6 km from Yunling town, and 30 km from the Anglo-German city. The reservoir water is clear, original, and lush surrounding forest, matched landscape, fresh air, birds singing cicadas. Downstream of the reservoir, the valley features a cliff, with the narrowest point only 10 meters wide, generally perpendicular to both sides of the stone walls, very much like sliced stones, pillars, and peaks on both sides.
The biological landscape of English Delin totals a land area of 224,700 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 61.8 percent, and wildlife species widely distributed. Representatives include Nature Reserve, Shimentai Anglo-German national forest parks, and others. Anglo-German National Forest Park is located in Yingde City, Guangdong Province, between east longitude 112°50′–113°55′ and north latitude 23°32′–24°33′, belonging to the Nanling Mountains southeast ridge foothills region. The average annual temperature is 20.7°C, with an annual average rainfall of 1876 mm, a typical subtropical monsoon climate year-round mild climate, and abundant rainfall. The excellent climatic conditions have given birth to large tracts of forest, forest, and natural landscapes, with lithology landforms in the region undergoing long-term karst action, forming many Qifeng rock and You Dong underground rivers.
Anglo-German National Forest Park was reviewed at the second session of the China Forest Scenic Resource Evaluation Committee meeting on December 12, 2000, and approved by the State Forestry Administration on December 28, 2000, for establishment. The forest park intrinsically harbors extremely rich flora and fauna: 2325 kinds of higher plants belonging to 272 sections and 1035 cases, with 23 kinds of special state-protected plants, two plants; 351 kinds of wild vertebrates, 28 orders, and 72 families, including four kinds of state key protected animals, two of 45 species, and 132 kinds of rare and endangered animals.
Anglo-German National Forest Park has a total area of 107,000 ha, ranking first nationwide in its kind of National Forest Park, with a forest coverage of 71.4%. It contains eight scenic spots: Po Crystal Palace, blue sky hole, Xianqiao underground river, England Xifeng forest corridors, Long Lake Xiushui, and 115 attractions. Xiongfeng stands in the Anglo-German National Forest Park, showcasing magnificent waterfalls, fog tide seas of clouds, rocks, pines, canyon You Dong, plateau Pinghu, virgin forests, rare birds and animals, historical sites, and other natural landscapes harmonizing with ancient English culture, forming an increase in magnificent landscape volumes.
