The world's highest net-bar has been built at the Mount Everest base camp, at an altitude of 5,200 meters, by China Mobile.
It is reported that the net-bar was mainly built to effectively guarantee the communication needs of the Olympic torch relay team at the Mount Everest in Tibet. To this end, China Mobile has built a service hall and net-bar at the base camp of Mount Everest, providing government officials, mountaineers, and media reporters working there with mobile services and Internet access. It is reported that this is currently the world's highest net-bar and service hall, and China Mobile is the only operator providing communication support for the Olympic flame crossing Mount Everest.
