The technique of microbial silage is to add a kind of microbial agent or composite biological additive of microbe and enzyme into the straw, so that beneficial microbes in the fermentation process of straw are always in the dominant position while harmful bacteria are restrained. Through sealed storage, the straw becomes soft in texture, wet, loose, and sour with a pleasant smell, as coarse cattle and sheep feed.
