I. Pre-requisites for Electric Heating Membrane Floor Heating Installation

1) Complete design drawings and technical plans;

2) All internal building construction has ceased, the ground base surface levelness meets requirements. Levelness requirement: 1m straightedge inspection, height difference ≯8mm;

3) The building has completed the installation of the corresponding floor heating system distribution box, thermostat pre-buried dark boxes, wall pre-buried wiring boxes, and system wiring according to design requirements and "Construction Electrical Engineering Construction Quality Acceptance Specifications", and passed inspection;

4) The construction site has temporary facilities such as water and electricity that can meet construction needs;

5) The ground base with waterproof or moisture-proof layer requirements has been constructed;

6) Concealed projects in the laying area by other specialties have all been completed, the site meets closed independent construction conditions. This single project should not be cross-construction with other single projects;

7) There is a dedicated material storage site on-site, and the construction environment temperature should not be lower than 5℃.

II. Preparations Before Electric Heating Membrane Floor Heating Installation

(A) Technical Preparation

1. All construction personnel must strictly follow national, local, and industry-related standards and specifications, and proficiently master the construction process and acceptance standards of the electric floor heating system;

2. Before construction, technical personnel must carefully review the drawings, compare bidding and engineering documents, raise questions and confirm them during the drawing review meeting. Then, based on the characteristics of the project, compile a construction plan and schedule. According to the construction plan, propose material planning, and provide detailed technical briefings to the construction personnel.

(B) Site Preparation

1. Establish an on-site office and warehouse or temporary storage point for engineering materials, arrange reasonable material entry plans based on the site and material planning;

2. Construction materials enter the site;

3. Site clearance, check if there are any sharp objects protruding from the ground. If so, they must be cleared immediately.

(C) Personnel Preparation

1. Construction personnel must undergo training to understand the construction process and technical operation methods, and only those who pass the examination can work on-site;

2. Installation personnel for electric heating membranes, thermostats, and connection systems must be certified electricians who have undergone technical training. Only those who pass the training can proceed to on-site construction.

(D) Material Preparation

1. Insulation layer using extruded polystyrene board (foamed polystyrene boards are prohibited, currently transitioning to foamed cement);

2. Dry hard cement mortar bonding layer

The cement used in the bonding layer is ordinary Portland cement, medium sand (strict control of soil content), the volume ratio of cement to sand is no less than 1:3.

3. Metal mesh

Metal mesh specification requires Φ=0.5~1.0mm, 20×20mm hole size galvanized welded mesh. The metal mesh used should meet the relevant standard requirements, without broken wires or sharp ends.

4. Protective layer

The protective layer is mainly used to protect and isolate the electric heating membrane, preventing it from being damaged during construction and avoiding corrosion and damage from the bonding layer. The protective layer is preferably made of PVC or PE film with a thickness of no less than 0.2mm and other corresponding materials.

5. Conduit for electrical wiring

Conduit material for use in the power distribution system is preferably galvanized steel pipe or rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) conduit.
