Tian Houbo Xinhua News Agency, Chongqing, May 12th (reported by Wang Xiaolei) - On May 12th, it was learned from the People's Procuratorate of Zhong County, Chongqing that the criminal suspect Tian Houbo, referred to as the "Chongqing Yao Jiaxin," was conditionally approved for arrest by the procuratorate on suspicion of intentional murder. The prosecution determined that after driving over a female beggar and fleeing, he returned to the scene and ran over the victim again, resulting in her death.

The prosecution stated that at around 10 PM on December 23rd last year, the suspect Tian Houbo was driving a Lifan truck along the Xinjiagou road in Group 2 of Helin Village, Maquan Town, Zhong County. Due to excessive speed while turning, he failed to avoid colliding with a female beggar lying in the middle of the road, injuring her left leg before fleeing the scene.

At around 1 AM on the 24th, Tian Houbo, fearing that the injured beggar might be discovered, drove back to the scene and found the victim still lying there. He then drove the vehicle to the front of the victim and reversed, using the rear left wheel to crush the victim's head and face, causing severe cranial injuries leading to her death. Subsequently, he moved the body to a nearby small ditch to conceal it.

The case has drawn significant public attention. The investigation supervision department of the People's Procuratorate of Zhong County communicated with the relevant departments of the public security bureau, understanding the case details and closely following up on this matter. On May 8th this year, the public security bureau requested the procuratorate to approve the arrest of Tian Houbo. On May 11th, the procuratorate approved the arrest of the criminal suspect Tian Houbo.

Currently, the case is still under further investigation.
