The instant when the big bird feeds the baby bird, the wonderful moment of a photographer capturing the intimate relationship of a bird family.

On March 8th, Octavianus Damawan recently took a series of excellent photos of big birds raising their chicks in Jakarta, Indonesia. These interesting photos display the close relationship of a bird family. While appreciating the intelligent and adorable young birds, people also deeply experience the hardship of raising offspring.

The photographer introduced that baby birds have many surprising similarities to human infants. They are "early risers" and constantly chirp, anxiously waiting for their parents to bring food back. These greedy little ones can't fly yet; they wobble on the branches, waiting for their parents to bring back delicious food. Every time they see their parents return, they chirp happily without stopping.

In order to support this large brood, the big birds are busy every day. To fill the stomachs of their hungry children, they not only have to fly long distances every day but also face many dangers along the way (such as snakes and cats). These photos fully showcase the proficient flying skills of adult birds: they can hover in the air with food or feed the young while flying.

The 56-year-old Damawan revealed that he kept taking pictures over the past few weeks to capture the warm moments between the adult birds and their chicks. Although the life of baby birds seems difficult, they enjoy it wholeheartedly and always work hard. The photographer hopes that everyone who sees these photos will be more grateful to their own parents and appreciate the efforts they made in raising us. (Gao Yijun)
