The "Measurement Standard Laboratory Capability Enhancement" Project of the Electric Power Research Institute Passes Acceptance

The "Measurement Standard Laboratory Capability Enhancement" project undertaken by the Measurement Institute of the State Grid Electric Power Research Institute was successfully accepted by the State Grid Corporation of China in Wuhan on August 26, 2011. The research achievements of this project, including the 1000kV power frequency voltage ratio standard device, the 500kV DC voltage ratio standard device, the 10kA DC large current standard device, and the 5kA DC large current standard device, all possess independent intellectual property rights, reaching internationally leading levels. This has further enhanced the influence of the measurement standard laboratory in the field of international high-voltage technology, laying a solid foundation for ultra-high voltage measurement work in our country.

The 1000kV power frequency voltage ratio standard device meets the demand for value transmission in the field of ultra-high voltage technology, achieving a breakthrough in AC ultra-high voltage measurement technology. The 500kV DC voltage ratio standard device improves the overall level of DC voltage usage in our country, filling the gap in the domestic 500kV DC high-voltage measurement field. The 10kA and 5kA DC current ratio standard devices realize the measurement of DC large currents, perfecting the calibration system of our country's DC current ratio standards. Currently, these four sets of ratio standard devices have all passed the standard establishment assessment of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Experts and leaders from the Science and Technology Department, Marketing Department of the State Grid Corporation of China, Sichuan Electric Power Test and Research Institute, North China Electric Power Test and Research Institute, and other units participated in the acceptance meeting. The expert committee of the acceptance meeting conducted a detailed and in-depth inquiry into the scientific research content of the project, believing that the measurement standard laboratory is capable of conducting ultra-high voltage, DC 500kV voltage, and current detection and calibration on-site in the laboratory. They unanimously agreed to pass the acceptance.
