The prices of semi-dull and bright polyester chips were consolidated, as well as the CDP chip price which remained unchanged. The price of polyester bottle chips also stayed constant. The prices of acrylic short fiber 1.5D x 38mm and acrylic tow 3D x 102mm both increased. Meanwhile, the prices of CPL and nylon-6 chips showed a consolidation trend. The overall trend in the polyester filament market remained largely stable with minor increases. Local spinning mills' quotations were basically unchanged, with the semi-dull DTY 100D/144F quoted at around RMB 15,500/T. However, some factories continued to raise their ex-factory prices; for instance, large-scale continuous spinning plants quoted FDY 75D/72F at RMB 13,900/T. Nevertheless, the product trends in today's polyester filament market appeared fragmented. Currently, the upstream raw material prices show a firm upward trend, and an atmosphere of observation intermittently appears in the polyester filament market. As the New Year approaches, the purchasing power of weaving enterprises for polyester filaments slows down, but the inventory of chemical fiber spinning mills remains low. It is expected that during the New Year holiday period, the overall polyester filament market will mainly undergo volume reduction adjustments. Under the impetus of cost principles and pre-Chinese New Year inventory preparation factors, it cannot be ruled out that after the New Year holiday, there may be a cost-driven upward trend in polyester filament prices. Some varieties of all-cotton yarn saw individual price increases. In terms of sales by variety, the demand for all-cotton yarn 32s and J21s is good, mainly used for air-jet nylon/cotton series. Trading in other specifications remains quiet. The trading volume of polyester/rayon blended yarn 40s has risen, with its price trend remaining temporarily stable. The polyester/cotton yarn market continues to remain stable. The overall price trend of pure polyester yarn shows steady growth. The market midpoint price for polyester staple fiber specification 1.4D x 38mm rose to RMB 11,500/ton, slightly higher than the previous Friday's price. The rayon yarn market performed satisfactorily, with its price remaining temporarily stable. The viscose staple fiber price showed slight weakness, with the latest market midpoint price at around RMB 15,850/ton. It is expected that during the New Year holiday period, there will be a moderate adjustment trend in the yarn market.
