He wanted to confront the store owner, but upon inquiry, learned that the store had moved several months ago.
"This car owner was likely misled into applying colored film, and it is not surprising for such phenomena to occur within a year," explained a professional car beautician. Colored film is one type of inferior quality car film, with normal wholesale prices ranging from dozens to hundreds of yuan. Although this type of film has acceptable heat insulation rates, its ultraviolet protection capability is weak, and the color tends to change easily after some use. Moreover, the chemical coating agent in the dye layer can cause indoor pollution and harm human health.
"Professionals can determine if it is colored film based on texture, smell, and clarity, but it is relatively difficult for the average person to differentiate," warned the professional. If car owners cannot discern the quality of the film, the simplest and most feasible method is to choose larger, reputable professional car-film application stores.
Additionally, car owners can input the brand and name of the applied film into the website of the China Trademark Office. If it is a legitimate car film, information about the trademark holder will be searchable. This information can then be compared with the relevant information provided by the film application store to determine if the film is authentic.
