Google Lantern Festival PR Update, sharing my personal insights on this Google PR update | Scorpio Number

This time, with Google's PR update, the PR of most blogs has increased, and my blog finally has a PR value... The number is 1. I'm not particularly curious or disappointed about this number. What intrigues me is one of my subdomains. It was built in less than a month, with only 15 pages indexed by Baidu, yet its PR jumped from 0 to 3.

I feel there are some things worth exploring here.

I started re-engaging with WordPress last October but never quite decided what kind of site I wanted to start. Should it be a site with a clear direction and theme, or a blog with broader content? Since October, while searching for a suitable WordPress theme, I've also been exploring various possible directions. To avoid letting the site go idle during this period, I began writing general blog posts. It wasn't until these past two months that I finally decided to turn Tianxie into a broad-based blog, a personal online territory, leaving my mark on the internet. Recording life, recording WordPress, recording all sorts of things I care about, changes... Investigating certain unknowns, concealed truths, and undirected realities. At the same time, I haven't given up on creating a themed website instead of a blog. Thus, I built a movie-themed site called Chuyinggui on a subdomain, sharing the latest Hollywood films.

During the Lantern Festival, while raising a cup to admire the moon and sharing the beauty of the full moon with loved ones far away, I noticed that Chrome's SEO plugin showed a change in the PR values of websites. At that moment, I was browsing the site I know best, Chuyinggui, which had a PR of 3. I quickly checked the PR of my blog—it was 1.

Chuyinggui, being newly built, had only 15 pages indexed by Baidu, and Google's index count hadn't even reached 100. How could its PR jump to 3? I found that many high-quality WordPress blogs built around the same time as mine also had a PR of 1. Why?

Later, everyone noticed that Google had updated the PR, and many people experienced varying degrees of improvement. Some reported their sites jumping from 0 to 3. I examined his site and other improved sites, making comparisons. I think I may have understood something, though perhaps not entirely accurate.

Generally, PR is determined by the quality and quantity of external links to a site.

However, I discovered that some other factors are also relatively important—namely, the thematic focus of the site and the diversity of its pages.

A site with a single theme tends to see its PR increase much faster, like an image-sharing site or my movie site. The site's theme should be consistent, not complicated or cluttered. Pages need to be diverse, with text accompanied by images, especially on the homepage. Besides having article titles, summaries should also be included along with accompanying images. Ideally, you could place a navigation slider with pictures and text at the top of the homepage, similar to themes like ZhiGengNiao...

I hope this might offer you some additional insights.
