The world's top luxury brand, Louis Vuitton, which started making Louis Vuitton handbags in 1854 and Louis Vuitton glasses in the 1990s and 2000s, has now announced the opening of a boutique and jewelry studio on Paris' Place Vendome this coming spring. The brand’s head, Yves Carcelle, told AFP on Friday that they are also preparing their first perfume. The project, unveiled in an area of Paris synonymous with luxury, will allow Louis Vuitton to have its own jewelry workshop and boutique, though there is no set timetable, meaning it is not under pressure.
The deal with the famous 'nose' Jacques Cavallier makes Louis Vuitton one of the few labels in the world with its own exclusive 'nose', alongside Chanel (Chanel handbags, Chanel Glasses), Dior (Dior handbags, Dior Sunglasses), Guerlain, Hermes (Hermes Birkin handbags), and Cartier (Cartier glasses frame).
Carcelle did not disclose how many new Louis Vuitton boutiques will open in 2012, but it is certain that two new frontiers will be the opening of a shop in Amman, Jordan, and another in September in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
