Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Qi Ji, stated that localities are encouraged to exceed the starting construction targets for affordable housing projects that have already been clarified.
Jiang Weixin said that inspection liaison officers in various regions should actively understand the situation, supervise progress, verify the reported number of started units, and inspect quality while reflecting and helping solve problems. By the end of October, all affordable housing construction projects must be fully inspected. In terms of engineering quality and production safety, strict control over the quality of affordable housing projects must be maintained.
Qi Ji emphasized that the affordable housing projects have now entered the peak construction season. For areas that exceed their construction targets, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will announce these achievements to the public at the end of the year and commend them. By the end of October, one-third of the projects should have their main structures basically completed, one-third of the projects should be in the above-ground construction phase, and one-third of the projects should be in the foundation construction phase.
