1. Let the network card run with a lighter load
By default, Windows Vista bundles many protocols on the "Local Area Connection," which can impose unnecessary burdens. In fact, according to network principles, the fewer protocols bundled on the network card, the easier it is to achieve a "lighter load." Naturally, this will also significantly increase the download speed of Thunder (Xunlei).
Open the Windows Vista "Control Panel," double-click "Network and Sharing Center," then click "Manage Network Connections" on the left side of the opened window. In the next window, right-click "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties." In the opened window, uncheck the corresponding protocols. Generally, you can uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler" and "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)." If you are only accessing the internet and not special networks, you can also uncheck the "Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver" and "Link-Layer Topology Discovery."
