On the afternoon of the 18th, Sohu IT discovered that the Carrefour website had been "hacked" again. Specifically, when trying to open its official website, a message appeared saying "Unable to display webpage." According to other netizens, this situation started appearing in the morning on the 18th.
Later in the afternoon, Carrefour's official website posted an announcement on the homepage stating that internal maintenance and updates were being carried out on the website. At the same time, the announcement said, "This maintenance and update will last for a period of time, and once the maintenance and updates are completed, the website will be immediately restored to continue providing services."
It is reported that on April 17th, the homepage of Carrefour China was hacked, displaying the slogan "Boycott Carrefour." The top of the Carrefour website page featured large areas of white background with black text, using poetry to call on Chinese consumers to boycott Carrefour. The general content of the poem was, "If you get tear-gassed by police while trying to see your country's torch," "If Parisians on the bridge throw trash at you"... "If... you have no reaction, then I'm speechless." The promotional content below remained normal. Around 15:10, the background disappeared, and the Carrefour China page began to return to normal.
This is the second time in recent days that Carrefour's official website has gone down.
