Please update Google Maps in the backend. My Maps has started to integrate and publish some valuable third-party data, which can display interesting information on Google Maps such as Panoramio photos, travel activities, and even crop circles.

Now, Panoramio photos are not only visible in Google Earth but also on Google Maps. To view them specifically, go to maps.google.com, click on My Maps, select Photos from Panoramio under Featured Content, and choose Add content to add it to your personal map, as shown in the figure below.

Panoramio photos no longer use blue cross icons as they did before, but instead use small thumbnails, making them more intuitive and convenient. After looking around Shenzhen, I found quite a few photos I had taken. Clicking on the thumbnail enlarges the photo, and the effect looks pretty good, as shown in the figure below.

If you also want your photos displayed on Google Maps, quickly register for Panoramio and use Picasa to geotag your photos, then upload them to Panoramio. One month later, your photos will be displayed on Google Maps and Google Earth just like mine.

In addition to Panoramio photo data, the current Google Maps directory also provides over 100 third-party Mapplets functions. You can click here to add them to your Google Maps. However, note that they are all in English.
