Ebay saw an auction of a fourth-generation iPod shuffle today. Amazingly, this iPod had Steve Jobs' personal signature on it. So far, the bidding price has risen to more than 10,000 US dollars. Of course, there is an unforgettable story behind it. At that time, the owner of this iPod shuffle and his three colleagues were invited to participate in an Apple event called "Innovators of tomorrow". After the event, he got a chance to approach Jobs and talk with him: "I heard that you don't usually sign for people, but I still want to ask... Can you sign on my iPod? It's okay if you don't want to. Actually, I usually wouldn't ask for signatures either."

Jobs chuckled: "No problem. You heard about that (the fact that I don't sign for people)? I can't say that I don't like signing for people. In my view, signing for people may imply hogging all the credit, and I absolutely dislike that. To be honest, I think I'm not qualified to sign for people. Writers signing their own books is understandable, but I think in our company, the members of our R&D team are the most qualified to sign for people, as well as all employees who participated in product innovation. Unfortunately, they are not known by everyone. I think it's more appropriate for them to sign... You need a larger iPod to hold all the signatures."
