Some analysts believed that Amazon.cn's adoption of Alipay as the third party payment still carried a risk of being absorbed by Taobao's B2C platform. These analysts believed that after adopting Alipay, Amazon.cn user information could be easily obtained. This user information could be used to improve Taobao's B2C platform.

Business News (reported by Luo Tian) Yesterday, it was learned that Amazon.cn, an old B2C company known for its book sales, would entrust electronic payments to Alipay China Network Technology Co., Ltd., a third-party payment under Alibaba Group. However, in terms of core business, Amazon.cn and Taobao are competitors to some extent since Taobao has just entered the B2C industry.

According to sources from Alipay, both parties have signed contracts and will officially announce this partnership soon. Not long ago, Taobao announced its entry into the B2C market, with many B2C websites including Amazon.cn and Dangdang viewing Taobao as a competitor.

Regarding this cooperation, relevant personnel from Amazon.cn stated that their cooperation with Alipay is not exclusive. Currently, Amazon.cn supports multiple payment platforms. Introducing Alipay aims to provide users with more choices. In fact, Amazon.cn is trying various methods in payment. For example, Amazon.cn delivery personnel can carry mobile POS machines, allowing users to directly swipe cards upon receiving goods without having to pay cash.

Taobao expressed that this cooperation with Amazon.cn does not affect Taobao's B2C business. Lu Weixing, public relations director of Taobao, said: "Taobao and traditional B2C manufacturers have different models. We only do B2C platforms, so there is no direct competition."

However, some analyses believe that Amazon.cn's adoption of Alipay as the third-party payment still carries the risk of being absorbed by Taobao's B2C platform. These analysts believe that after adopting Alipay, detailed user information of Amazon.cn can be easily obtained. These user data can be used to improve Taobao's B2C platform.

eBay Credit Conversion to Attract Taobao Sellers

Business News (reported by Wang Xiaoyue) Yesterday, eBay announced the launch of a "Growth Plan for eBay Sellers", targeting eBay veteran sellers, other website sellers, and new sellers. The plan includes recognizing Taobao credit ratings, free store openings, free promotions, and other tempting incentives for sellers. eBay hopes to attract more Taobao sellers to open stores on its platform through these measures.

It is understood that eBay will implement a certain ratio conversion of Taobao credit ratings. Specifically, different levels of credit ratings will be given to Taobao users at different levels. This is the first time that credit conversion has been realized between domestic B2C websites.

eBay also revealed that its current business focus is to quickly enhance the stability of platform functions and create a better online sales environment for sellers. To this end, eBay has recently launched a series of innovative products and services.
