Articles about Taobao have recently been circulating chaotically on the internet, with fierce debates everywhere. A Baidu search for "Taobao Evaluation Gate" yields 10,600 articles, all hard work from everyone in recent times, demonstrating the immense power of the online community. It somewhat reminds me of the posters plastered everywhere during the Chinese Civil War; chaotic and all over the place. I've written some pieces too, so I guess I'm part of this chaotic mix.
However, I am asking myself a question: What's the point of all the hype around Taobao? What is actually useful? Who benefits or suffers behind these events? Taobao? The sellers? Or...? I still haven't found a clear answer.
