Today's rumor: Tang Yan, chief editor of NetEase and Liu Xianghui, chief editor of the comment channel, will begin to be laid off today. The reason is unknown.

A few days ago, there was a report: NetEase Cultural Survey: Most netizens do not wish to be Chinese in their next life

On September 4, NetEase Culture released a survey: If you have another life, would you be willing to be Chinese again? By 11 p.m. on September 10, a total of 10,234 people participated in the survey, with 64% of the votes indicating "unwilling to be Chinese again in the next life."

The survey provided ten options, five for "unwilling" and five for "willing". Among them, "because being Chinese lacks human dignity" became the top choice for netizens, accounting for 37.5% of the total votes; another 17.6% of the votes chose "unwilling, because I can't afford a house in China, and happiness is far from me."

Most of those who chose "willing to be Chinese again in the next life" voted for "willing, because I love my country, and there is no other reason", while 6.8% of the votes chose "because China's long history and vast culture give me a sense of pride."

Whether it is due to the above reasons that led to their layoffs remains unknown.
