Source: Beijing Chigo Air Conditioning Repair Phone http://blog.tianya.cn/blogger/blog_main.asp?BlogID=3482552. Fault Phenomenon: The outdoor unit does not start, showing E1.

Cause Analysis: Upon startup operation, it was found that there is a DC signal between S and N, which determines the fault lies in the outdoor unit. Upon inspection of the power board of the outdoor unit, an indicator light was found to be on, with 310V voltage output and the module outputting +5V normally. Finally, when checking the connection lines between indoor and outdoor units, it was discovered that the pipeline had been extended before, and poor contact at the extension line joint led to signal interference between S, N, and L, causing the outdoor unit to fail to operate.

Resolution Measures: Replace the connection lines between indoor and outdoor units.

Experience Summary: When all components are checked and no obvious faults are found, it's important to check if there are any issues with the connecting pipelines. Poor wiring often affects the frequency conversion signals. For Chigo frequency conversion air conditioners, if the outdoor unit fails to start and shows E1, this could be one of the potential reasons.
