April 2, at a cemetery in Kofu City, Japan, a man placed his mobile phone before a newly-bought tombstone and scanned the electronic identification code on it. A new kind of tombstone went on sale in Japan on April 1st. People can use their mobile phones to scan the electronic identification code on the tombstones to browse through the information on the deceased, such as photos etc. The price of this new type of tombstone is about 1 million yen (equivalent to one US dollar).
