On March 20, Xunlei announced in Beijing its cooperation with mainstream domestic network content providers such as Jiuzhou Meng Network, Jiebao, Youdu, and Netjoy Interactive, pioneering a new model for online copyright cooperation. After this cooperation, Xunlei will no longer purchase content but will instead use the content resources provided by its partners and share advertising revenue with them. At the same time, Xunlei will focus more on the technical aspects to provide users with smoother and clearer online video services.

Through this cooperation, as a distribution channel, Xunlei's collaboration with content providers makes the industry supply chain division clearer, each playing their role, and finds a new way to solve the problem of online copyright, which is beneficial for the long-term development of the industry.

When discussing the ongoing lawsuit by Hollywood companies domestically, Xunlei's CEO joked that he has learned a lot from this litigation, such as legal terms like jurisdiction. He also believes that the American film and television industry is very developed, while China's film and television industry infrastructure lags behind. However, the user base in China is very large, and the demand for film and television programs is greater. The Internet can provide rich film and television resources to the vast audience in China. Therefore, this litigation actually involves national interests, calling for the country to protect the domestic Internet film and television industry.

Event: In February this year, six film production companies under the Motion Picture Association of America jointly sued Xunlei, demanding 7 million RMB in compensation and a public admission of copyright infringement. This case is currently being reviewed in the Pudong New Area Court of Shanghai.

Some insiders analyzed that "legitimization" is Xunlei's measure to avoid recurring litigation crises.
