Yesterday was the second day of the first lunar month, a time when people usually visit relatives and friends to celebrate the New Year. However, Chen Zhonggui from Yujing Village in Changjie Town of Ninghai County arrived early at the middle school playground for a trade fair. It turned out that this Spring Festival, 15 CNC engraving machine manufacturers from Changjie Town, known as the "carving hometown," jointly organized a CNC mechanical engraving machine exhibition and sales event, drawing the attention of many local professionals.
Yesterday morning, when the reporter arrived at the exhibition site, it was bustling like a market, with various types of CNC mechanical engraving machines fully displayed. According to the staff, the exhibition set up 64 booths. In addition to local enterprises, nearly ten companies from places like Shanghai, Tianjin, and Guangdong also participated. The products of Taifeng Automation Technology Co., Ltd. were transported from Foshan, Guangdong, costing more than 20,000 yuan just for the round-trip transportation fees. The company's general manager said they valued the regional influence here. Chen Zhonggui, who was carefully visiting the exhibition, told the reporter that he could visit relatives and friends in the evening, but he couldn't miss this exhibition. He had been engaged in the numerical control industry in Guangdong for several years. Taking advantage of being home for the New Year, he hurried to understand the market situation and planned to buy a CNC engraving machine to take back to Guangdong after the New Year.
The production of Changjie engraving machines has a history of over 30 years of development. In 2001, the first CNC engraving machine was successfully developed, marking the transformation of Ninghai mechanical engraving machines into CNC engraving machines. Last year, the town produced over 2200 engraving machines annually, with annual sales exceeding 300 million yuan. Additionally, 15,000 young and middle-aged labor forces in the town learned carving techniques and started businesses in provinces and cities such as Guangdong, Shandong, Fujian, and Hubei, becoming enterprise owners.
It is understood that in previous years during the Spring Festival, some CNC mechanical production enterprises took advantage of the opportunity of returning personnel and held small-scale sales activities in their factory workshops or rented a few storefronts, which proved quite effective. This year, under the auspices of the association, the "individual battles" were changed to centralized displays in one location, turning one company's customers into everyone's customers, increasing the customer base and expanding influence. Xie Henghao from Yudun Village said that every Spring Festival, everyone comes to the exhibition to meet new clients, understand the mechanical engraving machine market, and plan for future development.
It is reported that nearly 2000 people visited the exhibition yesterday, and the exhibition will end on the 16th of this month. (Reporters: Sun Jijing, Chen Yong, Feng Xiaoyan) Source: Ningbo Daily.
