E-Net News (Chutian Metropolis Daily) - Yesterday, a senior executive of Dazhou Laser revealed to the reporter that after last year's private placement financing of 330 million yuan and multiple acquisitions, Dazhou Laser is now planning another round of financing.
This is completely different from when Dazhou Laser first started. In 1996, when Dazhou Laser was founded, the laser engraving machine market had major players such as Beijing Daheng, Wuhan Chutian Laser, and Huagong Technology. Dazhou Laser was relatively weak at the time, but its trump card was the control software it developed itself, which was the only product in China that could be customized according to customer requirements.
At that time, Gao Yunfeng was troubled by the lack of funds. He wanted to take out a loan but had nothing to pledge. His minivan was pawned twice, once for 90,000 yuan and once for 30,000 yuan. In April 1999, after multiple rounds of evaluation, Shenzhen High-Tech Investment and Guarantee Company's venture capital of 4.386 million yuan flowed into Dazhou Laser's eager hands. "It was like encountering water in a desert; Dazhou developed due to this investment in laser engraving machines," said Tang Yingyuan, deputy general manager of Shenzhen "High-Tech Investment." Two years later, the company's annual output value exceeded 100 million yuan, and when "High-Tech Investment" liquidated its equity, it received 24 million yuan in cash, nearly a fivefold increase in value. Later, venture capital companies such as Hongta Group, Valin Steel Pipe, and China Merchants Group successively invested, providing capital expansion for Dazhou Laser.
In June 2004, Dazhou Laser successfully listed on the SME board in Shenzhen, beginning to use mergers and acquisitions as a means of extraordinary expansion. In 2006, Dazhou Laser acquired Tai De Laser, the second largest in the industry, and jointly established Dazhou Guan Hua in Yingkou. In 2007, it formed Dazhou Derun, acquired Shenzhen Maixun, and took controlling stakes in Wuhan Jinshi Kai, thereby entering all six major fields of the laser industrial processing equipment industry. Now, Dazhou has become a pioneer in domestic production from lasers to complete machines and is the creator of national laser standards. (Reported by Chen Daolin)
