China News Service, Washington, October 5 - A woman in Delaware, USA, sold her newly one-month-old son for $15,000 to raise money for a trip to Disney Park. The police announced on the 5th that the woman was charged.

According to Reuters, this woman named Bridget Wiseman is 33 years old and lives in Brookside Park, Delaware. She sold her one-month-old son, Christian, to a man named Gavaghan from Pennsylvania.

Wiseman and Gavaghan met through a friend, and both were charged with scheming to traffic children. The police said that Christian was found in good condition at Gavaghan's house. Wiseman has three children, and Christian is the youngest.

Testimonies from Wiseman's relatives, quoted by the police, stated: "Bridget tried to sell the baby because she didn't want the child, but instead wanted to go to Disney World." The police said that Gavaghan agreed to pay Wiseman $15,000 in installments, but the money had not been fully paid yet.

It is reported that Wiseman's relatives reported to the police that Wiseman was trying to sell her child to raise funds. The Newcastle County Police Department of Delaware, together with the Delaware State Police and Philadelphia police, searched Gavaghan's residence in Philadelphia.

The police announced in a statement that detectives had interviewed both parties and confirmed that Gavaghan and Wiseman were involved in the transaction of the newborn. They were arrested last week, and more details were released to the public on the 5th.
