Tai Feng encourages Dong Jian to pursue Xiao Fang, but Dong Jian still tells Tai Feng that he will only see Xiao Fang as a patient testing the new anti-allergy medicine, for which Tai Feng scolds him for saying one thing and meaning another. Xiao Fang invites Dong Jian to the shoe store to discuss the drug trial, while Xiao Fang is distracted trying on shoes and talking with Dong Jian, venting her emotions over her breakup. Dong Jian follows Xiao Fang to the nail salon where Tai Feng suddenly appears, indicating that he had already informed Xiao Fang about the drug test; Dong Jian is fuming with anger at Tai Feng's self-righteous actions but feels powerless against him. Xiao Fang unintentionally sees Yong Shen following her in his car, so she immediately enthusiastically drags Dong Jian and Tai Feng to go shopping with her, making Yong Shen both jealous and angry. When Tai Feng and Dong Jian meet with Jing Tian and others, Yong Shen takes the opportunity to criticize them for using work as an excuse to pursue Xiao Fang.
Jing Tian angrily scolds Yong Shen for not separating public from private matters, making Yong Shen feel extremely wronged. After Chu Qiao learns about this from the patient, he immediately assumes that Dong Jian is deliberately opposing him and goes to Dong Jian's clinic to confront him fiercely.
