The Vampire Diaries

"If NBC is the Peacock Network,

CBS is the Eye Network,

and ABC is the Female Network, then CW has undoubtedly positioned itself as: the Youth Network."

With GG in the front and TVD at the back, CW is undoubtedly following the youth route.

Given my current level of enthusiasm for The Vampire Diaries,

I should be able to write a long and detailed article.

Unfortunately, these non-episodic shows with strong storylines have only attracted me visually.

Whether it's GG or TVD, I watch them mainly because of two couples (CPs).

CPs are my only expectation for non-criminal investigation and non-mystery movies.

It's like when I was a kid, I became extremely enthusiastic about "Immortal Love" because of Zheng Yi's Shi Sheng.

Or like a few years ago, I refused to watch "Storming the Family" because YOYO, the most successful third party, didn't end up with Feng Shao.

Or like last year, I abandoned a novel with a strong storyline and characters simply because the heroine made the "wrong" choice.

Preference is indeed a very subjective word.

Yesterday, Xue mentioned that he likes Taylor Swift, especially her eyes.

I happen to dislike her precisely because of her eyes...

Speaking of TVD, it's a bit different from the American dramas I've watched before.

Because of the sweet shape of the female lead and the overwhelming positive reviews, I had high expectations for this show.

Who knew... Is this guy really the legendary male lead???

The male lead from TWLIGHT may have an ugly face but at least he has some presence.

Can this male lead with his mature appearance convincingly play a vampire who is forever 17?

When I picked up this show for the third time, I finally found a big highlight:

The male secondary character, DAMON.

This man's wicked smile,

his slight smirk of mockery,

and his "my life, my rules" reckless behavior,

is truly an extraordinary man.

The Vampire Diaries is a complex multi-angle romance.

Queen K turned S and D, the two brothers, into vampires in the 19th century.

She skillfully maneuvered between the two brothers, greedily wanting to keep the trio going.

Then K was killed by design due to S's involvement.

The relationship between the two brothers has been strained for over a hundred years.

More than a hundred years later, a woman E who looks completely different from K appeared...

By episode thirteen, the drama got better and better.

One vampire fell, another vampire appeared.

As Rachel said to Joey,

"Thank God, you're pretty!"
