Analysis and Inspection: The power supply voltage was measured to be normal. Unplugged the power, opened the outdoor unit casing, and measured the winding resistance of the compressor which was found normal (Beijing Gree Air Conditioning Maintenance Center). Touching the compressor by hand revealed a relatively high temperature. It was suspected that the compressor might have experienced a seized shaft issue. If the lubrication of the compressor is poor, it can easily lead to a seized shaft phenomenon. A start-up circuit was made using a 220V, 10A plug and three wires with a length of about 1.5m and a cross-sectional area of 1.5mm². Connect the N terminal of the plug to the common terminal C of the compressor. Connect two wires from the L terminal of the plug; one wire connects to the M terminal of the compressor, while the other wire remains unconnected. After powering on the compressor, use the unconnected wire to gently touch the start terminal S of the compressor (Beijing Gree Air Conditioning After-sales Service Hotline), and the air conditioning compressor starts. After the compressor starts, quickly remove the touching wire. After running for some time, unplug the power cord, dismantle the wiring, and reinstall the compressor wiring back into the air conditioner. Testing the air conditioner showed it returned to normal operation.

Hint: Poor lubrication of the compressor can cause a seized shaft failure, which can be activated using the aforementioned forced start method.
