China News Service, Ningde, May 19 - (Lin Cuihui, Wang Tingting) On May 19, the Fujian police disclosed that a woman was killed by her boyfriend in an office building of a certain aquatic products company in Meitian Village, Feiluan Town, Jiaocheng District, Ningde City, Fujian Province due to emotional disputes. The woman had multiple knife wounds on her face, neck, chest, etc., and after committing the murder, the man turned himself in to the authorities.
According to the police, the suspect Zheng (male, from Feiluan, Ningde) and the victim Xiao Zhuang (female, 24 years old, from Huian, Quanzhou) developed feelings for each other through online chatting. After half a year of dating, the girlfriend began to distance herself, which left a shadow in Zheng's heart.
Through observation, Zheng suspected that his girlfriend was getting too close with a male colleague at work, often talking happily on the phone with others while being cold towards him. She preferred going out alone with married male colleagues rather than spending time with her legitimate boyfriend, which made Zheng extremely angry.
Unable to accept his girlfriend’s distancing, Zheng communicated with Xiao Zhuang many times, but their conversations always ended in arguments. Xiao Zhuang thought Zheng was immature, lacked depth, and was overly clingy. "You don't need to bother me; it's useless for you to cling to me. I will only become more indifferent," Xiao Zhuang's words deeply provoked Zheng.
On the day of the incident at noon, Zheng met Xiao Zhuang for a walk near the company. Their conversation ended with Zheng questioning, "Do you want to be with me or not?" and Xiao Zhuang replying, "Don't bother me." That afternoon, Zheng once again invited Xiao Zhuang to meet in the evening, this time hiding a fruit knife on his person.
At 10 p.m., Xiao Zhuang arrived at the agreed location inside the office building of the aquatic products company. During their meeting, Zheng continued to dwell on why their relationship had grown distant. In response to Xiao Zhuang's lukewarm replies, Zheng attempted to embrace her to ease the tension but was refused, causing him to lose control and pull out the fruit knife, stabbing her in the neck.
Seeing the situation, Xiao Zhuang quickly shouted for help and tried to remain calm, attempting to negotiate with Zheng, "Think about your grandmother, your mother, and your sister..." However, Zheng was irrational at this point, saying, "I'm unafraid of death for love. If you don't want me, I'd rather die. I'll kill you first, then die myself. If I can't have you, no one else should either." With that, he continued to stab Xiao Zhuang in the face, neck, and chest areas. Realizing she could still make sounds, he used a pillow to press down on her face until she stopped moving, then fled the scene.
Subsequently, Zheng turned himself in, but he showed little remorse for his actions. During the police interrogation, he remained fixated on the doubts and accusations of "I've done so much for her, does she really want to be with me?"
