Qiongzhou Strait Welcomes the First Passenger Peak of the Spring Festival Travel Rush Today

Haikou Evening News, January 22, reported that the Qiongzhou Strait welcomed the first passenger peak of the Spring Festival travel rush today. The passenger flow is expected to reach 30,000 people, an increase of about 30% compared to the same period last year. The port and shipping departments of Guangdong and Hainan have gathered more than 50 passenger ships and ro-ro ships to participate in the Spring Festival transportation. They have added over 20 flights. Meanwhile, maritime patrol boats, rescue boats, and rescue helicopters are on standby 24 hours a day at busy sections of the main channel and near ports.

According to reports, the Spring Festival travel rush in the Qiongzhou Strait will reach its peak on the 27th. It is estimated that during the Spring Festival travel rush this year, the number of vehicles transported through the Qiongzhou Strait will reach 170,000, and the number of passengers will exceed one million.
