**LG Washing Machine: Continuous Water Inflow (Poor Contact of the Water Level Switch Plug)**
**Fault Phenomenon:** After turning on the machine, it can automatically fill with water, but even after the water overflows, the water inlet valve still cannot close, and the washing machine cannot enter the wash cycle. Pressing the rinse button allows the machine to automatically drain, spin, and switch according to the program, all of which function normally.
**Analysis and Repair:** In fully automatic washing machines, the same motor is used for both washing and spinning. Since the machine can spin, this proves that the motor is functioning properly. The ability to automatically spin and drain indicates that the computer control circuit and the electromagnetic water inlet valve are also normal. The fault may be caused by a problem with the water level switch or related components. After opening the rear cover, observe whether there is any leakage or air loss in the water pipe connecting the drum to the water level switch. After unplugging the two connectors of the water level switch and short-circuiting the contacts, a water full signal was sent to the washing machine's control board, but the machine still could not enter the wash state. Using a multimeter to measure the other two terminals of the water level switch to the input of the control board, it was found that one wire was normal while the other was disconnected. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the connection between the wire and the plug of the water level switch had poor contact.
**Handling Measures:** Remove the oxide from the connection of the plug, re-solder it securely, and the fault was resolved.
