Xi'an - Failure to extort "youth compensation fee" as expected, a 17-year-old girl brought people to her ex-lover's home for blackmail and extortion, forcing him to write an IOU of 100,000 yuan (about US$15,000). Ding would inevitably pay a heavy price for her rash behavior.

At about 2 p.m. on the 25th, policemen from Chang'an Road Police Station received a report. The victim Zhao said that in the morning of that day, his ex-girlfriend Ding and three men broke into his dormitory. They beat him up, robbed him of 2,200 yuan (about US$340) in cash, two bank cards (then withdrew 7,500 yuan or about US$1,160 from them), three mobile phones, car keys and other items. Afterwards, Ding and others used violent beating to force Zhao to write an IOU of 100,000 yuan as compensation to Ding.

After investigation, it was found out that Zhao, 52 years old, is from Haimen, Jiangsu. Last August, he met Ding in his hometown, and they developed a lover relationship then cohabited. In February this year, Zhao took Ding to Xi'an for business, and told her that he could help her go to school in Xi'an. In September, Ding failed to go to school, so she asked Zhao for money several times on various pretexts. When Zhao proposed to break up with Ding, Ding demanded compensation by claiming that she had had an abortion for Zhao. After being rejected, Ding gathered Meng Yituo, Zhou Kairong, Chen Mou and other three people, and forcibly broke into Zhao's residence on the morning of the 25th, carrying out extortion and robbery. Currently, Ding, Meng Yituo, Zhou Kairong, Chen Mou and others have been placed under criminal detention.
