The key points of restaurant decoration are mainly focused on the following aspects:
1. Color coordination
The color coordination of restaurants generally follows that of living rooms, which is mainly considered from the perspective of spatial sense, because in the current domestic housing design, restaurants and living rooms are usually connected. For single-structured restaurants, it is advisable to use warm colors in terms of color usage, because from the perspective of color psychology, warm colors help promote appetite, which is also why many restaurants adopt yellow and red series.
2. Restaurant style
The style of the restaurant is determined by tableware, so the style of dining tables and chairs should be decided in the early stage of decoration. The most likely conflicts are color, ceiling shape and wall decorations. Generally speaking, their styles correspond as follows:
1) Glass dining table. Corresponding to modern style, simple style.
2) Dark wood dining table. Corresponding to Chinese style, simple style.
3) Light wood dining table. Corresponding to natural style, Nordic style.
4) Metal carved dining table. Corresponding to traditional European (Western Europe) style.
5) Concise metal dining table. Corresponding to modern style, simple style, metalism style.
3. Selection of dining tables
The selection of dining tables needs to be coordinated with the size of the space, and pairing small spaces with large dining tables or large spaces with small dining tables are not appropriate. Due to practical purchasing issues, buyers find it difficult to bring items to the site for comparison, so after measuring the size of the desired dining table, a full-scale comparison can be made on-site, which would be more appropriate and can avoid being too large or too small.
4. Selection of dining tablecloths
Dining tablecloths should preferably be made of fabric, and there are currently multiple choices available in the market. When using plastic tablecloths, necessary thick pads should be placed when placing hot objects, especially for glass tables, which may cause unnecessary heat-induced cracking.
5. Coordination between dining tables and chairs
Dining tables and chairs are generally matched, but they can also be purchased separately. However, ergonomics issues need to be noted, such as the height difference between the chair surface and the tabletop should ideally be around 30 cm. Too high or too low will affect normal posture; the backrest of the chair should feel comfortable, etc.
