The crime scene was covered in blood. This photo was taken by our reporter, Deng Bo.
Our report by Wei Xin Ying: A family of six were having dinner together when they were unfortunately confronted by three plainclothes "police officers" armed with knives and guns who claimed that their gathering was too noisy and proceeded to confiscate their belongings. When the homeowner asked them to show their identification, he was attacked by these fake police officers. Yesterday afternoon at around 5 PM, Li Xianping from Hubei province and a group of relatives were visited by these fake policemen at their rental apartment located at No. 6 Ren Shou Li, Shuang Gang Village, Huangpu District.
Last night at around 8 PM, our reporter observed at the scene that the approximately 15 square meter room where the incident occurred was covered in blood and in complete disarray; blood stains extended from the third floor all the way down to the first floor. According to Li Xianping's sister, they are from Hubei, and this rental apartment is where her younger brother and his wife reside, having only moved in a week ago. Additionally, in the 201 room downstairs, our reporter also saw that the door lock had been forced open and the room had been ransacked. It was reported that the 201 room had also been raided by the fake policemen.
Subsequently, our reporter met the injured Li Xianping at the Huangpu branch of Zhujiang Hospital No.1. Li Xianping recounted to our reporter the events of the robbery by the "police": That afternoon, he and five fellow countrymen, consisting of five men and one woman, had gathered for a meal at his new residence, but unexpectedly, the "police" suddenly arrived...
"Those three men were dressed casually, one carrying something resembling a gun, another holding a camera," said Li Xianping. Around 5 PM, while he and his friends were drinking and chatting, the three "police officers" suddenly burst in.
Neighbors in nearby rental apartments stated that they had seen one of the robbers discard what appeared to be a "gun" as he fled through the back alley, which has since been taken away by the police as evidence.
"They claimed to be police officers from the local station, stating that they had received complaints about our noise level due to drinking, and demanded we show our identification. We all presented our ID cards, but after checking them, those three men ordered us to place our mobile phones and wallets into the bag they had brought along."
At this point, Li Xianping and his friends grew suspicious and requested the "police" to show their identification. Upon hearing the request, the three men immediately fled with the belongings. "Just as we were about to chase after them, someone rushed into the room wielding a knife, attacking anyone in sight."
In the ensuing chaos, one of the robbers grabbed an electric fan from within the apartment and struck Li Xianping's head forcefully, splitting the fan into two halves. Li Xianping's fellow countryman, surnamed Xie, was also slashed. Both were subsequently sent to the hospital but fortunately, neither sustained life-threatening injuries.
Currently, the police are investigating the matter.
