On the morning of that day, according to Shang's superior and colleagues - the officers from the Nanhua Police Station in Xinxiang City, on November 18th, police officer Xueli Shang was leading assistant Qingjie He on duty at the intersection of Peace Road and South Ring Road in Xinxiang City when they received an emergency call instruction from the 110 command center, stating that someone was causing trouble in Li Village near South Ring Road.

One of them, about 1.80 meters tall, with alcohol breath, was holding a one-foot-long machete in his right hand and a dagger in his left hand, shouting fiercely: "Today I will chop you to death!"
The other drunkard told Shang that he himself had called the police, and the other person had cut his hand. Shang stepped forward and asked the weapon holder to put down the weapon. The weapon holder did not listen and instead swung the knife at Shang with his right hand. Shang turned his head, and the knife hit his back. Then, his left upper arm was slashed again.
Shang rushed forward bare-handed to seize the weapon from the weapon holder. Soon, Shang and others subdued this tall and strong weapon holder.
A villager exclaimed: "Look at your back, so much blood, go to the hospital quickly!" As Shang turned to look at his own back, the relatives of the weapon holder took the opportunity to pull him away, and then the weapon holder ran away.
After the hospital examination, it was found that the wound on his back was 6.5 cm long and 2 cm deep, with tendon rupture; there was a 4 cm long knife wound under the skin of his left upper arm.
Currently, the Xinxiang police have deployed controls and are chasing the suspect Li Mou who used a knife to harm the police officer.
