Yaxin News Agency (Chief Reporter Wu Jianguo, Intern Reporter Gongs Xiaoqing, Intern Zhang Wen) - "I might have run too slowly, so they dragged me into the house and beat me up. They also threatened me, saying that if I didn't behave, I wouldn't only not get my wages," said Jiang Dingxue in the hospital. His left face was slashed by a dagger and required seven stitches. He said that on that day, he and more than thirty migrant workers went to Xinjiang Shihezi Kunlun Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. to demand payment, but were beaten up by a group of people.

On the 9th, Jiang Dingxue told reporters that Kunlun Company only agreed to pay them 50,000 yuan first, and the remaining 230,000 yuan for the project cost and wages would be paid later.

Jiang Dingxue recalled that on November 5th, he and more than thirty migrant workers went to Kunlun Company to demand their project fees. The boss refused to pay, so they blocked the boss in the office. The police came to mediate, but no agreement was reached. After the police left, four strangers with daggers suddenly rushed into Kunlun Company, dragging him into a small room next to the office hall. They punched and kicked him and slashed his left eye corner and cheek with a dagger.

"My younger brother's left cheek needed seven stitches in total, fortunately, his brain wasn't injured," said Jiang Dingguang, Jiang Dingxue's older brother. In September this year, their contracting team took over the exterior wall insulation project of Kunlun Company from Wanjiangyuan Building Materials Co., Ltd. They were responsible for the insulation reinforcement and plastering of the exterior walls of BF-13 buildings in the Shihezi Viscount Manor, including both labor and materials, but they haven't been paid yet. "We worked hard for two months, we just want our hard-earned money back."

The director of the Kunlun Company Office, Mr. Zhang, said that under normal circumstances, it usually takes about 15 days to complete one building, but Jiang Dingguang's team dragged it out for two months. "They have stopped working for more than ten days already. To catch up with the progress, we had no choice but to find others to start the work." Regarding the incident where Jiang Dingxue was beaten, Vice General Manager Duan Xiuhua of Kunlun Company claimed she was unaware of it.

According to information obtained from the Labor Inspection Team of Shihezi City, Kunlun Company has agreed to pay a part of the project cost first. As of the time of this report, the farmers still have not received their wages.
