In a residential compound's garbage pile
Body parts were shockingly discovered
At around 9:00 AM on November 13th, the Dongmenkou Police Station of the Taocheng District Public Security Bureau of Hengshui City received a report from a citizen stating that two suspicious bags resembling human body parts were found in a garbage pile in a residential compound in the Nanhua New Village urban area. After receiving the report, the police immediately rushed to the scene and confirmed through preliminary investigation that they were indeed human body parts.
The case was significant, and the Hengshui police swiftly formed a special task force for the "November 13" murder and dismemberment case. After detailed examination of the scene, it was confirmed that the two bags of body parts consisted of abdominal muscles and two lower legs of a human body. With the help of police dogs, the police conducted a meticulous search of the surrounding area and soon found a bag of human internal organs in another nearby garbage pile. Upon inspection, all three bags of body parts originated from the same victim.
Late at 10 PM on the 13th, after extensive visits, the police obtained an important clue: the deceased's information matched closely with Liu Mou, a resident of Taocheng District who went missing on November 10th. The police contacted Liu's family for identification. According to the family, Liu had undergone surgery on his leg due to varicose veins, and this characteristic matched perfectly with the scars on the deceased’s legs. Based on this evidence, the special task force determined that the deceased should be Liu.
Surveillance video
Identifies female suspect
Liu was 58 years old and disappeared after leaving home on a motorcycle on the morning of November 10th. The special task force conducted a thorough investigation overnight into Liu's family circumstances and social relationships. In the morning of the 14th, the police learned an important clue: Liu had an ambiguous relationship with a 56-year-old woman named Wei Mou. Wei lived with her husband, son, daughter, and son-in-law in a neighborhood on Central Street in the urban area of Hengshui. The special task force immediately retrieved the surveillance video from this neighborhood and, upon careful review, discovered that a man with features highly similar to Liu entered the neighborhood on a motorcycle at noon on the 10th but never left the neighborhood again. Around 11 PM that night, two women pushed this motorcycle out, one of whom had physical features matching Wei.
Subsequently, the special task force conducted an investigation inside Wei's home and found multiple scrape marks and a few bloodstains on the wall and chair legs. Extensive external investigations confirmed that between 12 PM and 6 PM on the 10th, Wei's husband, son, daughter, and son-in-law were not at home, leaving only Wei herself in the house. At the same time, Wei's daughter told the police that on the evening of the 10th, after returning home, Wei told her that she had bought a cheap second-hand motorcycle at the market that day and decided to give it to her son-in-law. Wei's daughter did not suspect anything and helped her mother push the motorcycle into the storage room.
All signs pointed to Wei having significant suspicion of committing the crime. In the afternoon of the 15th, the special task force arrested Wei and discovered Liu's clothes in the washing machine at her home and seized Liu's motorcycle from her storage room.
An ambiguous text message
Triggers the bloodbath
Facing the police, the suspect Wei truthfully confessed to the facts of her crime of killing and dismembering a body. It turned out that since 1997, Wei had been having an affair with Liu. At around 12 PM on November 10th, Liu came to Wei's home as previously agreed. During their time together, Liu received an ambiguous text message from another woman. Wei questioned who sent the message and tried to grab Liu's phone, leading to a heated argument and physical struggle between them. In a fit of rage, Wei kicked Liu off the bed, causing Liu's head to hit the ground, resulting in injury and heavy bleeding. Seeing this situation, Wei grabbed a kitchen knife and killed Liu on the spot. To cover up her crime, Wei dismembered Liu's body and discarded the parts in four separate instances.
Currently, the suspect Wei has been legally criminally detained, and the case is under further review.
