Tongfeng Zhongtai's assistance mechanism in Zhouqu

The champion of the first China's *Talent Show* was finally born at around 11 p.m. on the night of October 10th.

Without enumerating, this is indeed an era of shows, but not everything can be shown off!!!

On September 11, 2010, a devastating heavy rain brutally swept through Xiaoshan, a wealthy land in southern Jiangnan. The torrential downpour turned areas with hidden dangers into vast flood zones...

I've always known that Xiaoshan is peaceful, and being a Xiaoshan person is truly blissful.

But when the catastrophic mudslide disaster arrived, it shifted people's sense of happiness. This kind of disaster, which we usually see on TV, in movies, or in the news, suddenly happened right before our eyes, leaving a lasting impression of fear!

After the incident, the armed police and fire fighters were the first to arrive at the ruins and successfully rescued the trapped little girl. In the heavy rain, I saw the definition of life above all else etched on the dark faces of the soldiers. (These just and brave armed police officers possess a firm and benevolent heart, giving people hope, comfort, and warmth.)

The units of the affected individuals did arrange temporary accommodations for them as soon as possible, but contrary to what the newspapers reported earlier, they weren't staying in hotels or eating at restaurants; it was merely a leisure resort.

While the entire nation was on holiday celebrating the country's birthday (October 2nd), they moved out of the leisure resort to a temporary residence arranged by their unit. How long will this "temporary" situation last? Why is it always "temporary"?

This temporary accommodation is nestled against a mountain. You might think it sounds beautiful, but in reality, it's a simple shack without bathroom facilities. The window of the shack faces an old national highway with constant traffic, making it extremely noisy. The door of the shack directly faces a toilet (even the dining and cooking area directly face the toilet), and there are no nearby shopping malls, clinics, or hospitals.

Who had the idea to place these two elderly survivors in such an environment after their ordeal? (Could this person possibly lack filial piety? Filial piety comes first among all virtues!)

One of the elderly has glaucoma and needs to cover their ears while sleeping due to poor sleep quality, which further worsens their eye condition. There are two steps leading to the toilet, and if they can't see clearly, they might have an accident going to the WC. What happens if they need to go to the WC at night or during winter?

Why is the post-disaster intervention and support mechanism so weak? Is it because Xiaoshan has never experienced such disasters before? Or do we not fear secondary disasters? We can certainly learn from the support mechanisms used in Wenchuan, Yushu, and Zhouqu, adding a stroke of humanity to prosperous Xiaoshan.

It has been one month and one day since the calamity struck. When will the affected family be able to reunite and live together again?

How is the progress of the post-disaster mental health work going?

It's often said that disasters are无情 (heartless), but people are有情 (kind-hearted). Everyone knows that peacekeeping and the Red Cross teach us to approach and practice humanity and righteousness.

We hope the government will supervise this matter closely. This is a profound and extensive event, and the common people are watching. We also hope that relevant leaders can take time out of their busy schedules to make a serious record of this historical event, providing a correct answer for history as archival material. Future generations will look at history to evaluate it.
