Many girls love snacks, but a lot of snacks contain preservatives. Actually, all snacks can be homemade with many simple tricks. Today, I will teach you how to DIY various snacks at home. Boys can learn and make them for their girlfriends, and girls should definitely learn it themselves! Once you understand this, why would you spend money on those expensive products that may contain preservatives? These days, self-sufficiency is the way to go!
Note: There are many methods for DIY snacks. If you can't finish reading them all, feel free to save or share them for later.
Manual DIY Snack One: Green Tea
Today, we ran out of green tea drinks at home. I was originally planning to buy another box, but the weather is too hot and I'm lazy to go out. Then I suddenly noticed that the ingredient list on the green tea bottle shows a very simple formula. So, I got an idea and used tea leaves, water, white sugar, and honey to mix it up and put it in the fridge to chill. When I tried it just now, it tasted just like the one sold in supermarkets!
The simplest method is to use black tea bags steeped in water + rock sugar/honey/white sugar (just make it sweet!) + a slice of dried lemon (available in most supermarkets).
Manual DIY Snack Two: Milk Tea (Those outside made with milk tea powder are not HD at all, they don't even contain real milk)
Steep black tea bags in water, steep longer if you prefer more tea flavor.
Then add an appropriate amount of pure milk, without melamine~
Add a spoonful of condensed milk
Stir evenly, OK~
Manual DIY Snack Three: Grandpa's precious corn salad~
Ingredients: Just buy canned sweet corn from the supermarket
Prepare celery bits, carrot bits (I don't like carrots), potato bits... In short, any vegetable bits you like
Method: Except for corn bits, blanch all lili in hot water first~ Cook potatoes longer if you want them softer
Then place all lili in a large container, mix well with Kewpie salad dressing (other brands work too)~
With this method, you can make family-sized ones at home, or even "four generations under one roof" size! Haha, no more eating until you're not satisfied!
Manual DIY Snack Four: Sweet Taro Heart~~~ I also like it~~
But it's so troublesome~~
You'll need taro, glutinous rice flour, starch, white sugar... And milk if you want it to taste better
Steam the taro until cooked, mash it into a paste~ Mix it with glutinous rice flour and milk, adjust the softness... Just enough to form shapes, which gives it a crispy outside and soft inside feeling~~ Haha
Coat with thin starch and fry until golden brown~
Manual DIY Snack Five: Mashed Potatoes (This one is easier than Sweet Taro Heart~~ Haha)
First, let's talk about mashed potatoes, then chicken juice
1. Steam the potatoes until cooked, mash them into a paste, add milk, salt~ Don't add too much milk, it won't taste good if it's too runny!
2. Chicken juice, use chicken broth (like Simmered Chicken Soup), add black pepper (this is very important! I think the chicken juice relies entirely on the pepper for flavor), heat it up, thicken with water and cornstarch, don't add too much cornstarch, otherwise it will be too thick@@~
Then pour it over the mashed potatoes~~ Bingo
Here's another slightly more complicated method for making mashed potatoes, mainly different in seasoning.
Mash the cooked potatoes into a paste, add sliced cheese, milk, yogurt, salt, black pepper, adjust the ratio according to your taste, just don't make it too runny. Add the cheese while the potato paste is still hot, or heat these two ingredients together in the microwave, mainly to fully melt the cheese.
Cut cucumbers, pickles, carrots (blanched), corn kernels, ham, etc., into small pieces. Choose your preferred ingredients, you can omit what you don't like.
Mix everything evenly, although it's a bit more trouble, it's absolutely healthy and delicious.
Manual DIY Snack Six: Honey-preserved Lemon
Slice the lemons and place them in a jar (the jar must be thoroughly washed and scalded with hot water)
Pour honey over the slices so each piece is coated with honey (some people use white sugar, but honey is healthier)
Seal with cling film and refrigerate, leave it for three to five days
Sour, sweet, fragrant, super delicious, beautifying, detoxifying, weight loss
Manual DIY Snack Seven: Let's talk about New Orleans wings~~ (It feels like revealing KFC's secrets@@~ haha)
These are delicious but expensive@@~ So I roast them at home, each time roasting over 20, it's really satisfying!
Homemade KFC New Orleans Wings (Simple Version)
Ingredients: Chicken wings (wingettes or drumettes are both fine), New Orleans BBQ sauce (sold at Metro, a big bag costs over 20 RMB, I've been using it for over a year)
Method: 1. Marinate the chicken wings in the sauce for 2 hours, don't use too much sauce, just coat the surface of the wings evenly
2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then bake the wings at 180 degrees for half an hour
Ready to eat!! The taste doesn't lose to grandpa's!
Homemade KFC New Orleans Wings (Complex Version)
Ingredients: 10 chicken wings, honey, soy sauce, salt, cooking wine (red wine also works), ginger, red dry chili peppers, five-spice powder, black pepper.
Method:
1. If using frozen chicken wings, thaw them first. Place 10 fresh chicken wings in a microwave-safe dish.
2. Add a little soy sauce, two tablespoons should suffice.
3. Add cooking wine or red wine, approximately two tablespoons, mainly to remove the fishy smell of the chicken wings.
4. Add salt, a little ginger shreds, a few chili seeds, a little five-spice powder (generally available in supermarkets), a little black pepper.
5. Mix the chicken wings and seasonings evenly, ensuring they are fully coated.
6. Cover the dish and marinate the chicken wings in the refrigerator's chilling compartment, preferably overnight (so preparation must be done in advance, cannot be done on the spot). If really urgent, marinate for 2-3 hours to ensure the flavor penetrates.
7. Take out the marinated chicken wings, brush with honey (this ensures the correct color and taste! Adjust the amount of honey brushed based on preference).
8. Place the honey-brushed chicken wings in the microwave, medium-high heat (usually the setting with three flames) for 11 minutes.
Manual DIY Snack Eight: A great drink for weight loss~ Homemade
Hawthorn, lemon slices, tangerine peel, chrysanthemum
Boil with water, as tangerine peel has a sweet taste, no need to add sugar, fewer calories :)~~
Strain after boiling, refrigerate, drink as water
Good taste, removes fat and slims down! Haha
Since we already have the ambition to snatch business, let's go all the way!
Manual DIY Snack Nine: Chicken Nuggets~~~~
Ingredients: Chicken thigh meat (cut into small pieces), Knorr garlic or spicy fried powder, water and cornstarch, salt
Method: Mix the fried powder, salt, and water and cornstarch into a batter, a bit thinner, marinate the chicken for 2 hours
Before frying, coat with a layer of dry fried powder
Heat oil in the pan (80% heated), fry for 3 minutes, don't overdo it! Drain the oil~~ Fragrant! :)~
Manual DIY Snack Ten: Let's talk about a vitamin C beverage I once made myself
That kind of drink that tastes sour, looks cloudy, claims to contain vitamin C.
The reason was due to a cold once, and I had those small bottles of VC tablets, so I took a few, along with drinking lots of hot water. Then I suddenly thought to drop a few VC tablets and some lemon-flavored candies into the water, and waited for them to dissolve.
The result was a product that looked and tasted very similar to the bought drinks~~~
Later, I calculated that a small bottle of 100 VC tablets cost me 2.5 RMB, and a pack of fruit candy was about 2 RMB. The cost of hot water is negligible...
Of course, using hot water might destroy quite a bit of the effective components of VC, and I don't know exactly how much is left.
This was actually unintentional mischief.
But
Let's assume the VC content in beverages is genuine, since I haven't conducted experiments to test it. However, by using appropriate methods, like directly using VC tablets plus sucrose and flavoring, making a beverage that indeed contains VC, the cost... A bottle of beverage sells for 3-4 RMB.
So...~~~~~
I've also made homemade milk tea, but probably because I added too much powdered milk, it lost its tea flavor... Also, here's a personal favorite easy method to make mashed potatoes. It's for emergencies when you're hungry, so it's not perfect...
Cut the potatoes into chunks, add an appropriate amount of water;
Cook in the microwave until soft, press into a paste;
I directly sprinkle chicken essence, then black pepper, stir;
If there's too much water, heat again in the microwave to evaporate the water.
Then you can eat~~~
Not as sweet as KFC's mashed potatoes, but since our method lacks technical complexity, basically as long as you peel the potato skin, cut it into chunks, put it in the microwave, take it out, mash it into a paste, sprinkle seasonings... eat
Manual DIY Snack Eleven: Homemade Salad Dressing
This picture is embarrassing to show... Everyone researches it themselves~
There are two methods
One uses
Soft tofu from the market, lemon juice, a spoonful of milk (or yogurt), some sugar, a little soy sauce
Method is to first blanch the tofu in water with salt, to remove the fishy smell of tofu
Then, throw all the ingredients into the blender and blend, pour out and it's salad dressing~
Another one I haven't tried, introduced by TX
Ingredients are apples, onions, carrots, lemon juice, yogurt, soy sauce
Blend all together
Manual DIY Snack Twelve: Homemade Ice Cream
Ingredients are two bananas, a bag of powdered milk (both skimmed and full-fat work), a spoonful of cocoa powder (you can use other flavors depending on your preference)
Blend the bananas into a paste, sprinkle in the powdered milk and cocoa powder, freeze in the bottom of the fridge, after 3 hours take it out, it has the exact same texture as ice cream~ Try it if you're interested~
Manual DIY Snack Thirteen: Let me teach you how to fry French fries
Someone above said the fried ones were a bit soft, this method won't make them soft
Cut the potatoes into strips, wash off the starch and drain the water, then put them in the fridge to freeze. After freezing for a few hours until they're hard, fry them in the oil until golden brown
And you can cut a bunch of potatoes and freeze them all, take out some to fry when you want to eat
If you cut the potatoes into thin slices, freeze them before frying, you get potato chips. Add seasonings, they're almost the same as the store-bought ones, just more challenging for knife skills
One more tip, if you want to fry French fries with less oil
Boil the fries in a pot for two minutes before freezing, drain the water, cool down, then freeze
This is from a home trick book, all other steps are the same, hahaha
Here's another one~ Buy more lychees when they're in season. Wash them at home, peel them. Use a toothpick to remove the seeds. Try not to damage the flesh. It's better to dig out the seeds from the top. Then fill the space left by the seeds with red bean paste (sweet, bagged, should be available in most supermarkets??) Fill it up. Then freeze it~~~ Once frozen, you can eat it as popsicles, they taste great~
Manual DIY Snack Fourteen: Another great method for fruit ice cream
Ingredients: Whatever fruits you like
Whipping cream (boxed whipping cream sold in supermarkets)
Lemon juice, corresponding fruit juice (add more for stronger flavor)
Tools: Blender
Method: Wash the fruits and cut them into small pieces (remove seeds if necessary, peel if necessary), place them in the freezer for over three hours until they're solid. Take them out and place an appropriate amount in the blender, add a little whipping cream (lemon juice and fruit juice optional, can skip), start blending. If too thick, add more cream, if too thin, add more fruit (pay attention to the "degree"!). The best procedure is: able to scoop out balls with an ice cream scoop and it's ready!
Manual DIY Snack Fifteen: Introduce another dessert, super simple!!
I only knew about double-layer milk pudding when I arrived in Guangzhou~
The famous Wen Yu dairy shop in Beijing also sells it~
This double-layer milk pudding has a rich milk aroma, smooth texture, but it's quite troublesome to make@@~
Here's a simplified version - steamed milk custard
Ingredients: (for one person) one egg, 150ml pure milk, two spoons of white sugar (girls who like it sweet can adjust according to taste)
Method: Beat the egg in a bowl, add milk and sugar
Bring water to a boil in the steamer, steam on high heat for 8 minutes, turn off the heat and let it sit for 2 minutes~
For aesthetics, you can add some small fruits~ Mangoes, pineapples, etc.~ Very delicious~ Give it a try, hehe
Manual DIY Snack Sixteen: With Valentine's Day coming up~ Here's a chocolate recipe, outside they sell homemade chocolates, but besides looking nice, the taste... So I thought about making it at home, not difficult!
Ingredients: Dark chocolate (must be milk-free dark chocolate, I use Dove), cream (I use Bright brand) The ratio isn't fixed, if you prefer more milk flavor, use less chocolate and more cream...
Also, add your favorite nuts, can be hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts... Depending on your preference :)~~
Method: Boil a pot of water, place the dark chocolate and cream in a bowl, melt slowly over water (be careful not to get water in, and don't burn yourself@@)
Once both are melted and mixed well, add the nuts~~
Pour it out while it's still soft and shape it into whatever shapes you want
Manual DIY Snack Seventeen: Here's another breakfast~ McDonald's Egg McMuffin (No grandpa, no uncle~ haha)
Ingredients: Burger buns (same as bread slices), one egg, one slice of cheese
Method: The most important step is frying the egg~ To make the egg tender, use "water"! Put a little oil in the frying pan, crack in the egg, sprinkle a little salt on the surface, when the bottom is cooked but the top is still raw, add a small spoonful of water (it will definitely smoke~ don't be afraid!) Cover the pan, switch to low heat, the steam will cook the egg! No need to flip, you'll have a tender fried egg
Spread some tomato sauce on the bread bun, place the fried egg and cheese, microwave for 1 minute~
Manual DIY Snack Eighteen: Pumpkin Cake
Choose sweet and glutinous pumpkins, cut them into chunks, steam until soft and mash into a paste, then add some glutinous rice flour (the same flour used for wrapping tangyuan) and mix evenly. You can either steam with filled condensed milk or directly fry in oil, and you can shape them however you like!
Manual DIY Snack Nineteen: Spicy Spare Ribs with Shrimp (Just tested, a whole pot...)
Ingredients: Shrimp, spare ribs (small ribs are best), potatoes, sweet potatoes (yams), winter melon, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, lotus root, black fungus (basically add whatever you like...)
Seasonings: Scallions, ginger, garlic, bay leaves, star anise, tangerine peel, Sichuan peppercorns, dried red chili peppers, lantern peppers (I love spiciness, classmates who don't eat spicy can add less.), white sesame seeds, roasted peanuts. Dry pot seasoning (I couldn't find dry pot seasoning, so I used hot pot seasoning instead)
1. First, blanch the spare ribs (can add ginger, cooking wine to remove the fishy smell), discard the blanching water, replace with clean water and cook until tender, I set it to cook for about half an hour, zzf000zxyb4_Baidu Space, this way you also have spare rib soup, no waste. After cooking, take out and set aside for later use.
2. While cooking the spare ribs, you can trim the shrimp legs and whiskers, make a cut down the back, actually scissors work quickly, the deeper the better for flavor absorption.
3. Cut the potatoes, yams, winter melon into strips, slice the mushrooms, cut the lotus root into rounds.. etc., prepare the vegetables.
4. Fry the spare ribs and shrimp in oil until the surface is crispy yellow (basically look at the color), then fry the potato strips and yam strips until golden yellow. Fry the peanuts briefly.
5. Use the oil in the pot to sauté scallions, ginger, garlic, dried red chili peppers, lantern peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, add the hot pot seasoning, I used about half a package, stir-fry until fragrant, then add the spare ribs and shrimp and stir-fry for a bit, take out the spare ribs and shrimp, then add the mushrooms, lotus root, black fungus, winter melon strips, bamboo shoots, etc., stir-fry, then add some spare rib soup or water and simmer until the sauce reduces, then add the potato strips and yam strips, stir-fry, add chicken essence and sugar to taste, serve and place at the bottom of the pot, then place the spare ribs and shrimp on top, sprinkle with cilantro and white sesame seeds, and it's ready. You can eat first then add more dishes like in restaurants.. We didn't add more dishes.. Eating dry food stuffed us full..
Manual DIY Snack Twenty: Let's talk about Pineapple Buns with Ice and Fire
Buy a pack of small pineapple buns, cut them in half
Preheat the oven, then bake at 200 degrees for about 2 minutes, when the top of the bread turns a bit yellow, it's done, don't bake too long, otherwise it will become very crispy and hard
Meanwhile, cut the butter and place it in the freezer
Then the warm pineapple buns with icy butter, DONE~~
Manual DIY Snack Twenty-One: Black Pepper Beef Burger
This requires buying some materials from Metro
1. Lee Kum Kee Black Pepper Sauce
2. Frozen pre-treated beefsteak (I bought triangular ones)
3. Burger buns and lettuce
4. Hellmann's Mayonnaise
Use a little butter to fry the beefsteak, add black pepper sauce when it's half-cooked
Toast the burger buns, add some lettuce, place the fried beefsteak, squeeze some mayonnaise
Manual DIY Snack Twenty-Two: Yogurt
