Ricoh officially acquires Pentax brand imaging systems under Hoya | Photo Friend

Japanese companies Ricoh (RICOH) and Hoya (HOYA) issued a joint statement on their respective official websites: both parties have reached an agreement, under which Ricoh will acquire all the business operations of Pentax Imaging System owned by Hoya (HOYA), which is worth noting. It was reported that in this deal, the Pentax Imaging System business acquired by Ricoh from Hoya includes digital cameras, lenses, accessories, security cameras, telescopes and other optical products. The future R&D, manufacturing and sales of these products will be fully managed by Ricoh.
