According to reports, Tang, a Sichuan-born man working in Suzhou, wanted to return home for the New Year. When buying train tickets, he encountered a police patrol. A small evasive movement caught the attention of the police, and the subsequent investigation was surprising - online fugitive information showed that Tang was suspected of robbery and murder in 1993 and had been on the run for 18 years.

To facilitate citizens buying tickets to return home for the New Year, a temporary "ticket mega-store" was set up at the Suzhou Sports Center, where thousands of people queued up to buy tickets every day. Officer Zhao Minghua from the Cai Xiang Police Station recalled that at around 3 PM on January 14th, just before ticket sales were about to begin, a man in his forties caught the attention of the duty officers. The man, dressed in a black down jacket, was squeezed in the crowd and sneaked a glance at Zhao Minghua. This subtle movement was noticed by Zhao Minghua, who saw that the man deliberately moved closer into the crowd to avoid the officer's line of sight. Zhao Minghua stepped forward and asked him to step out of the queue for inspection.

The man stepped out of the queue, looking somewhat dejected. Zhao Minghua asked him to present his ID. The ID showed that the man surnamed Tang was over 40 years old and from Sichuan. Zhao Minghua took out his police communication device and entered the information. The information that popped up on the screen shocked him: In 1993, this person was involved in a robbery and murder in Jinhé County, Xinjiang, and had been on the run for 18 years. Surprisingly, when the police took Tang back to the station, he remained very calm and did not resist.

After detaining the man, the Suzhou police immediately verified his identity and eventually confirmed that Tang was indeed the wanted murderer. Eighteen years ago, when Tang was in his twenties, he collaborated with several men to commit robbery and subsequently murdered the victim. His accomplices were captured one by one by the local police, but Tang managed to evade capture all these years. During this time, he traveled to many places and even returned to his hometown to visit his wife and son. Eventually, he ended up working in a factory in Suzhou. According to reports, two days ago, Tang was extradited by the Xinjiang police who came from afar. (Peng Hao)
