Research findings of 47 million .com domains - He Xin's Blog (Alpar's Blog)

An analyst named Forbes from Vastardis Capital Services, a mutual fund service company in New York, obtained a complete list of ".com" domain names from Verisign and discovered through research that: half of the domain names are between 9 to 15 characters long, with an average length of 13 characters. A domain name can be up to 63 characters long, and there are 550 such domain names that reach this maximum length. Interestingly, some people have created haiku-style domain names using all 63 characters.
