Not long ago, I saw a card friend propose that there is about a 5 km difference between the speedometer display speed of Corolla and the actual speed. Ying Jianren and Wu Jianzhong suggested that the display should be slower than the actual speed. So, I was thinking of confirming it.

1. Start from 40 kilometers, increase by 10 kilometers each time, maintain a constant speed for a period of time, until reaching 80 kilometers.

From the experimental data, there is a certain difference between the speedometer of Corolla and the actual speed, which is about 5-6 km slower than the displayed speed. However, the mileage traveled is consistent with the GPS display. It might also be that the manufacturer deliberately slows down the speedometer for safety reasons.

Therefore, if we are driving on a road with a speed limit of 60 km/h, according to the rule of not being penalized within 10%, the displayed speed can be kept at 72 km/h when driving. If driving on an 80 km/h speed limit section, then 93 km/h, and for highways with a speed limit of 120 km/h, it can be at 136 km/h (this data is calculated, not actually measured).
