Xinhua News Agency, Hubei Channel, April 3 - A deed of property transaction was recently found in Jianan Town, Lichuan City. This deed was made on the 6th day of the 11th lunar month of the 29th year of Daoguang Period of Qing Dynasty. It is 42 cm wide and 48 cm long, written on ancient "gou pi paper", with clear text, complete content, fluent writing, and bright seal.
The deed states: "We hereby sell forever our fields, land, mountains, bamboo, wood, water, stone, and all other properties... We sell the property named 'Longjingwan' owned by the Jiang family to Qi Han Yun for an agreed price of 118 strings of copper coins... To the east is the boundary between Chuan Province (now Chongqing) and Liang... The boundary is marked by stepping and pointing... On the 6th day of the 11th lunar month of the 29th year of Daoguang Period, we make this forever-sell deed, signed by An and Ming (the names of the Qi brothers)."
According to the owner of this deed (who wishes to remain anonymous), through checking the genealogy, Qi Han Yun has passed down seven generations to him, lasting 161 years.
