During the break time at the weekend fun park of the school, while staring at the computer screen, a student said: "Today's October 11th, clothes are half price!", I asked where? The student replied: "Mole!!"
Me: Mole Lianhua, or?
Student: Mole Farm, gaming!
Teacher: Feeling sick and dizzy!
Seeing students indulging in games, observing their release after being suppressed during class, that happiness, those expressions, truly reminded me of the weekend fun park.
I, who have always opposed students playing games, constantly emphasizing that the computer lab is not an internet cafe or a game hall, suddenly wanted to understand their gaming world today. I asked for the website, went in to browse around, and the students kept encouraging me to register. So, I registered with the name "Good Stuff".
Immediately, a group of students surrounded me, probably very curious that the teacher also got hooked on games. They were even more delighted and addicted!
Seizing my mouse, they told me "working" could earn 500 yuan.
Another student then took over the mouse.
Student: Teacher, you can't be naked, right? Teacher, let's get some candy. Teacher, let's read the newspaper. Teacher, let's do... there are many activities...
Teacher felt a bit dizzy...
The students wildly clicked the mouse, their proficiency in operation amazed me. The things they shouldn't learn, they learned quickly, but the typing skills I taught them remained as "one-finger Zen".
I kept asking, is there anything else fun? Can it be done in other ways...
I found it boring, but that seemingly virtual pleasure brought extreme joy to the students. The useful part was the beautiful interface which was extremely helpful for making web pages. I kept emphasizing these good things, hoping they would take something useful from playing games.
Adults don't understand the children's world [like day doesn't understand night's darkness].
