Xinhua News Agency Jilin Channel, January 22nd - A report by journalist Wang Haofei states that the 2008 Changchun Arts and Crafts Gifts and Home Decor Expo, organized by the Changchun Municipal People's Government of Jilin Province and the Changchun Trade Promotion Council, will open on July 25th at the famous commercial street, the Changjiang Road Pedestrian Street. At that time, over a hundred exhibitors from all over the country will jointly present a "cultural and artistic feast."

According to Wang Jie, the head of the organizing committee, this exhibition will last for a week with the theme of pursuing taste and leading fashion, and aims to promote the production and exchange of arts and crafts gifts. By showcasing various unique arts and crafts and gift design, production, and distribution units from all over the country, it provides a platform for negotiation, exchange, and cooperation between supply and demand sides, laying a foundation for China’s craft products to enter international markets and increase market share.

The exhibits at the exhibition are divided into four major categories: arts and crafts, gifts, popular accessories and components, household items, and decorative items. These include nearly ten thousand varieties such as bronze ware, metal crafts, laser engraving machines, electronic gifts, commemorative gifts, Christmas gifts, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, gemstones, fabric art, bedding, carpets, and more.

Wang Jie said, "With the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of material and cultural living standards, the demand for arts and crafts gifts is expanding continuously. This exhibition not only fully displays the rich artistic achievements of our country's arts and crafts but will also further activate the market, enhancing the cultural literacy and artistic appreciation of the general public."
