Ninghai News Network (reported by Wang Xia-kai) - Yesterday afternoon, County Party Secretary and County Governor Wang Jian-hou visited Ningbo Kanger Knitting Clothing Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Kaibo CNC Machinery Co., Ltd. together with the responsible persons from the County Office and the Economic & Trade Bureau. During the visit, Wang Jian-hou pointed out that these two enterprises should give full play to their role as leading enterprises, actively transform economic development patterns, and make their due contributions to promoting entrepreneurship among all residents in the locality and overall innovation in the industry.
In 2007, which has just passed, Ninghai's industrial economy achieved both quantity and quality improvements, with enterprises continuing to grow in scale. The total industrial output value reached 32.98 billion yuan, an increase of 29.5% year-on-year. There are more than 830 large-scale enterprises, over 50 of which have revenues exceeding 100 million yuan. Among them, Kanger Knitting achieved an output value of 297 million yuan, paying 9.798 million yuan in taxes, representing year-on-year growths of 14% and 28%, respectively; Kaibo CNC achieved an output value of 110 million yuan, paying 9.89 million yuan in taxes, representing year-on-year growths of 34.6% and 54.5%, respectively.
Wang Jian-hou pointed out that leveraging advantages and creating characteristics is the core of regional competition and development. As the leaders in knitting clothing and CNC engraving machines in our county, Kanger Knitting and Kaibo CNC should vigorously promote industrial innovation and set examples in areas such as promoting division of labor and cooperation within the industry, strengthening research and development, cultivating talent, and establishing brands. They should also promote entrepreneurship among all residents and strive to enable more common people to get rich through emerging industries such as CNC engraving machines. Finally, Wang Jian-hou extended the New Year greetings of the County Committee and the County Government to the employees of the enterprises, wishing them new developments in the new year.
